Bach Ngoc commune was established on the basis of merging Bach Ngoc, Boi Son, Giang Son Dong, Giang Son Tay communes of Do Luong district (old) with a natural area of ​​72.20 km2.²The whole commune has 6,998 households, with a total population of 28,911 people, distributed in 27 hamlets. The commune Party Committee currently has 1,306 party members operating in 48 affiliated party organizations.

In particular, the commune coordinated with all levels and sectors to invest in renovating and upgrading the historical relics of Qua Son Temple, Nhan Boi Pagoda, and Ba But Pagoda associated with spiritual and cultural activities and well-organized festivals, creating favorable conditions for the development of various types of services.

Every year, the commune focuses on directing the construction and effective implementation of many agricultural economic models with high productivity and efficiency such as: Models of growing green squash, basil, turmeric starch, cucumber, raising 3b breeding cows, 3b commercial cows, models of raising free-range pigs, bees, black apple snails, model of growing green-skinned grapefruit, model of high-quality rice...

Implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction, the local rural appearance has also changed a lot, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved.

The socio-cultural sector continues to have many positive changes, playing an important role in the harmonious and sustainable development of the locality. Education and training are focused on comprehensive development; the quality of education is improved.

The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” has been widely deployed. Social security work has been implemented synchronously and promptly. Policy families, people with meritorious services and social protection beneficiaries have been given careful attention and care. Security and national defense have been strengthened, political security, order and social safety have been ensured, creating momentum for socio-economic development.

Determined to strive for the Party Committee to be recognized as having completed its tasks well or better every year. The commune strives to complete the advanced new rural criteria before 2030.

Promote the existing advantages of forest economy and garden economy to develop models towards increasing sustainable values. Focus on developing clean, organic, green, safe and circular agriculture. Promote attracting businesses to invest in agriculture, develop new farm and cooperative economic models, prioritize the development of OCOP products.

Along with that, the commune is interested in developing the service sector associated with developing other economic sectors, improving the quality of services. Bach Ngoc commune has a long-standing historical and cultural tradition. This is a land with many cultural and religious works, historical and cultural relics, of which 1 relic is ranked as a National Historical and Cultural Relic and 4 provincial cultural relics.

To promote this potential advantage, the commune cooperates with localities to form a tourism chain of spiritual culture, ecology, resort experience on Lam River, Qua Son Temple, Ba But Pagoda, Giang Son hot mineral water. In addition, it focuses on developing culinary culture, building brands of typical products of Bach Ngoc commune to develop services and tourism. In particular, the commune makes the most of the advantages of the National Historical and Cultural Relic of Qua Son Temple to encourage the development of services and trade in the area.
