Overview of socio-economic development situation

Chau Khe Commune Party Committee was established on the basis of merging Chau Khe Commune (old) and Lang Khe Commune (old); including 29 affiliated party organizations, with 597 party members; natural land area of ​​544.31 km2², population 12,210 people.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee and people of Chau Khe commune unanimously overcame difficulties and challenges, achieving many important results. The economy has made many strides, economic indicators have increased compared to the previous term. Area, output and productivity of crops have always been high. The total livestock herd has not decreased. Aquaculture has developed well, especially fish farming in cages in hydroelectric reservoirs. Deforestation and forest fires have not occurred. Many projects and models for economic development have been gradually applied.

The lighting system, traffic roads, irrigation canals are repaired, renewed and expanded. Resources are well managed, no illegal exploitation or encroachment is allowed. Site clearance, traffic safety corridors, waste and environmental treatment are given attention. Propaganda, cultural, artistic, physical education, sports and emulation movements are maintained under suitable conditions.

The quality of education and training is improved, educational facilities are ensured. The infrastructure of villages and hamlets is increasingly spacious, people's lives are constantly improved. Political stability, order, social security are ensured, territorial sovereignty and border security are maintained.

In addition, there are still some limitations: The leadership capacity and fighting strength of some Party cells and Party members are not high. The economy has developed, but has not created a sustainable breakthrough, and has not created local products that are competitive enough. Structural transformation is slow; the quality of human resources is low, not meeting practical needs; State management in some aspects is still limited, the qualifications, capacity, awareness and responsibility of a number of cadres and civil servants have not met requirements; security and order are still potentially complicated.

Public investment in the 2020 - 2025 period in the commune is over 250 billion VND with 36 projects (capital from the National Target Program, district budget, maintenance and other mobilized capital sources). The basic projects have been completed and put into use, contributing to promoting economic development in the area.

The commune has also successfully implemented the movement to mobilize people to donate land, trees, and property on land to expand traffic routes; mobilized troops to clear traffic corridors and concretize inter-village road systems. Implemented the construction of 42 rural traffic routes with a length of 6,887.5m.

Production and business activities in the commune are maintained stably and developed. Continue to maintain 3 cooperatives of rattan, bamboo weaving, handicrafts, brocade weaving, of which 1 product meets 3-star OCOP standards; there are 3 enterprises, 210 households trading in groceries, food services, 3 households providing homestay services. Transportation, fertilizer, credit, and telecommunications services continue to develop.

Pay attention to investing in science and technology development, applying digital transformation in State management, production, business and life. Deploy synchronous applications of many interconnected information systems from the grassroots to the provincial and central levels; build and digitize databases, shared information systems, and key specialized data systems to serve the activities of State agencies, people and businesses.

Chau Khe border commune attaches importance to improving the quality of teaching and learning at all levels. Carrying out well the annual universal education survey; maintaining 5/6 national standard level 1 schools; 100% of the teaching staff meeting the standards; the rate of promotion to the next grade is 100%; the rate of good and excellent students is higher year after year, the number of students passing the university and college entrance exams is constantly increasing. Focusing on investing in school facilities, in which, paying attention to renovating and upgrading classrooms, auxiliary works, and purchasing equipment.
