Assassin's Creed Shadows releases Claws of Awaji expansion
Assassin's Creed Shadows' Claws of Awaji expansion is officially released, adding a new area and a journey continuing the story of Naoe and Yasuke.
Naoe and Yasuke's New Journey
Ubisoft has released the Claws of Awaji expansion for Assassin's Creed Shadows. Players can experience it on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC and macOS via the Epic Games Store, Steam or the Ubisoft Store. The expansion pack will be included for those who pre-ordered it, while others will cost $25 or free for Ubisoft+ users.
Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, Claws of Awaji offers around 10 hours of new gameplay and a completely different area. The content takes place after the player has completed the main story, so the expansion cannot be experienced without completing the campaign.
The story begins as Naoe tracks a mysterious ninja to Awaji Island, where she and Yasuke must confront Sanzoku Ippa, a brutal force that threatens the island's peace.
In the new journey, gamers will explore vibrant cities, beautiful seascapes, but also have to be wary of ambushes and traps that always lurk.
Assassin's Creed Shadows' continued success
Since its release on March 20, Assassin's Creed Shadows has been continuously updated with updates such as New Game+ mode, Nightmare difficulty, and many other useful features.
The game reached three million players in just over a week of release, becoming the most successful version of the game series on Steam, and second in the series behind Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
Claws of Awaji not only expands the world, but also solidifies Shadows' position as one of the most successful titles in Europe in 2025.
