As of 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, September 23, 2025, the domestic gold bar price increased by 1.4 million VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday. Specifically:

The price of SJC gold bars was listed by DOJI Group at 133 - 135 million VND/tael (buy - sell). At the same time, the price of gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC and PNJ gold bars at 133 - 135 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 133.6 - 135 million VND/tael for buying and selling. The price of gold bars at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited was traded by the enterprise at 133 - 135 million VND/tael (buying and selling).

The price of SJC gold bars at Phu Quy is traded by businesses at 132.5 - 135 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

Silver price this afternoon, September 23: Hit a 14-year peak, up nearly 50% since the beginning of the year

As of 5:00 p.m. on September 23, silver prices continued to increase sharply, reaching a 14-year high and surpassing the growth rate of gold, attracting great attention from investors.

In the international market, silver price was trading at 43.81 USD/ounce, up 0.60 USD compared to the previous session. This is the highest level in 14 years.

Since the beginning of 2025, silver prices have increased by nearly 50%, far surpassing the growth rate of gold and becoming one of the most impressively profitable precious metals.

Domestically, as of 5:00 p.m. on September 23, 999 silver bars and silver ingots of 1 tael on the system of Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group increased by 20,000 VND/tael compared to the previous day, reaching 1,675 - 1,727 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

For 1kg 999 silver bars, the price also recorded a strong increase, listed at 44,666 - 46,053 million VND/kg.

USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 23: Stable

The USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 23 recorded slight fluctuations, the official market remained stable while the free market was more active but still decreased compared to the beginning of the month.

The central exchange rate on September 23 was kept unchanged by the State Bank at 25,189 VND/USD, unchanged from yesterday. With a 5% band, commercial banks are allowed to trade in the range of 23,930 to 26,448 VND/USD.

At the State Bank's Transaction Office, the reference buying and selling prices were also maintained at 23,980 - 26,398 VND/USD.

At banks, the selling price of USD was commonly at the ceiling level of 26,448 VND/USD, while the buying price was adjusted up by 10 to 30 VND at many banks compared to the previous session, fluctuating around 26,198 - 26,233 VND/USD.

Specifically, Vietcombank listed 26,198 - 26,448 VND/USD this morning, up 20 VND in the buying direction.

VietinBank buys at 26,233 VND/USD, up 26 VND, sells unchanged at 26,448 VND/USD.

Techcombank adjusted the buying price to 26,220 VND/USD, an increase of 21 VND.

BIDV raised the buying price by 28 VND, reaching 26,228 VND/USD.

Eximbank increased the most, adding 30 VND in buying price, to 26,210 VND/USD.

Sacombank had a lower increase of 10 VND, listed at 26,200 - 26,448 VND/USD.

In the international market, the USD Index (DXY), a measure of the greenback's strength against major currencies, recorded at 5:00 p.m. at 97.20 points, slightly down from the previous session.

Pepper price today September 23, 2025: Mixed increase and decrease

Pepper prices today in key growing areas fluctuated compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level was from 147,000 VND/kg to 150,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Lam Dong (old Dak Nong) decreased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 150,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Dong Nai increased by 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday at 150,000 VND/kg.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on September 23 (local time) as follows:

Indonesia’s Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,027 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,957 per tonne.

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,600/mt.

Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,900/ton.

Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.

In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.

Coffee price today September 23, 2025: Strong increase

Domestic coffee prices today, September 23, 2025, in the Central Highlands region increased sharply compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 113,500 - 114,500 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 114,500 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 114,500 VND/kg, an increase of 2,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by VND2,200/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND114,000/kg.

In Lam Dong province, coffee prices increased by VND2,000/kg compared to yesterday and are at VND113,500/kg.

On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 delivery reached 4,189 USD/ton, down 2.13% (91 USD/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for January 2026 delivery decreased 2.22% (94 USD/ton) to 4,134 USD/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 1.53% (5.65 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 361.7 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 decreased by 1.33% (4.65 US cents/pound), reaching 343.25 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 0.13% (0.6 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 438.5 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 increased by 0.62% (2.7 US cents/pound) to 436 US cents/pound.

Oil price today September 23, 2025: Decreased for the 5th consecutive session

World oil prices continued to fall as Iraq and the Kurdish government reached an agreement to restore an export pipeline to Türkiye, raising concerns about oversupply.

In the afternoon trading session on September 23, Brent crude oil price decreased by 34 cents, equivalent to 0.51%, to 66.23 USD/barrel. US WTI crude oil also decreased by 29 cents, to 61.99 USD/barrel.

Over the past five sessions, Brent has lost 3% and WTI has dropped 4%. Oversupply pressure continues to be the main reason why the market is having difficulty recovering.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 18. Specifically as follows:

- E5 RON92 gasoline price increased by 230 VND, to a maximum of 19,986 VND/liter.

- RON95 gasoline price increased by 208 VND, reaching 20,608 VND/liter.

- E10 RON 95-III gasoline price increased sharply by 560 VND, reaching 20,600 VND/liter.

- Diesel oil increased by 62 VND to 18,705 VND/liter.

- Kerosene price increased by 176 VND to 18,544 VND/liter.

- Fuel oil price increased by 40 VND, to 15,130 VND/kg.

During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund.
