Based on today's USD/VND exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,448 VND/USD), the world gold price today is equivalent to 120.7 million VND/ounce.

Domestic gold prices this afternoon, September 23, 2025

As of 5:00 PM today, September 23, 2025, the price of domestic gold bars increased by 1.4 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to yesterday. Specifically:

The price of SJC gold bars, as listed by DOJI Group, is 133-135 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price). At the same time, the price of gold bars listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) and PNJ is also 133-135 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price).

Meanwhile, at Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of SJC gold at the time of the survey was listed at 133.6 - 135 million VND/ounce for buying and selling. At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited, gold bars were traded at 133 - 135 million VND/ounce (buying - selling).

At Phu Quy, the price of SJC gold bars is being traded by businesses at 132.5 - 135 million VND/ounce (buy - sell).

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 129.3 - 132.3 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), an increase of 1.5 million VND/ounce compared to yesterday.

Silver prices this afternoon, September 23rd: Reaching a 14-year high, up nearly 50% since the beginning of the year.

As of 5:00 PM on September 23rd, silver prices continued to surge, reaching their highest level in 14 years and outpacing gold's price increase, attracting significant investor interest.

On the international market, silver is trading at $43.81 per ounce, up $0.60 from the previous session. This is the highest level in 14 years.

Since the beginning of 2025, the price of silver has increased by nearly 50%, far outpacing the increase of gold and becoming one of the most profitable precious metals.

Domestically, as of 5:00 PM on September 23rd, the price of 999 silver bars and ingots (1 tael each) on the Phu Quy Gold, Silver and Gemstone Group's system simultaneously increased by 20,000 VND/tael compared to the previous day, reaching 1.675 - 1.727 million VND/tael (buying price - selling price).

For 999 sterling silver bars weighing 1kg, the price also recorded a sharp increase, listed at 44.666 - 46.053 million VND/kg.

USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 23rd: Remains stable.

The USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 23rd saw slight fluctuations; the official market remained stable while the free market was more active but still decreased compared to the beginning of the month.

The central exchange rate on September 23rd was maintained by the State Bank of Vietnam at 25,189 VND/USD, unchanged from yesterday. With a 5% margin, commercial banks are allowed to trade within the range of 23,930 to 26,448 VND/USD.

At the State Bank of Vietnam's exchange floor, the reference buying and selling prices were also maintained at 23,980 - 26,398 VND/USD.

At banks, the selling price of the US dollar was commonly at the ceiling of 26,448 VND/USD, while the buying price was adjusted upwards by 10 to 30 dong at many banks compared to the previous session, fluctuating around 26,198 - 26,233 VND/USD.

Specifically, Vietcombank this morning listed the exchange rate at 26,198 - 26,448 VND/USD, an increase of 20 dong in the buying rate.

VietinBank is buying USD at 26,233 VND/USD, an increase of 26 dong, while the selling rate remains unchanged at 26,448 VND/USD.

Techcombank adjusted its buying price to 26,220 VND/USD, an increase of 21 dong.

BIDV raised its buying price by 28 dong, reaching 26,228 VND/USD.

Eximbank saw the sharpest increase, adding 30 dong on the buying side, reaching 26,210 VND/USD.

Sacombank saw a smaller increase of 10 dong, listing the exchange rate at 26,200 - 26,448 VND/USD.

On the international market, the USD Index (DXY), a measure of the dollar's strength against major currencies, recorded 97.20 points at 5:00 PM, a slight decrease compared to the previous session.

Pepper prices today, September 23, 2025: Mixed increases and decreases.

Today's pepper prices in key growing regions showed mixed trends compared to yesterday. As a result, the average domestic pepper price ranged from 147,000 VND/kg to 150,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, today's pepper price in Dak Lak remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.

Today's pepper price in Gia Lai remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

Today's pepper price in Lam Dong (formerly Dak Nong) decreased by 1000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently standing at 150,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, today's pepper price in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is 150,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Dong Nai also saw an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 150,000 VND/kg.

Additionally, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remains unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

On the world market, based on quotations from exporting companies and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has updated the prices of various types of pepper traded on the international market on September 23 (local time) as follows:

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$7,027/ton. Additionally, Muntok white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,957/ton.

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,600 per ton.

Malaysian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at US$9,700/tonne. Similarly, ASTA white pepper prices also remained unchanged from yesterday at US$12,900/tonne.

Prices for all types of Vietnamese pepper remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Specifically, the price of Vietnamese black pepper (500 gr/l) is 6,600 USD/ton; and the price of 550 gr/l is 6,800 USD/ton.

In addition, the price of Vietnamese white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,250 per ton.

Coffee prices today, September 23, 2025: A sharp increase.

Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, September 23, 2025, surged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 113,500 and 114,500 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in the former Dak Nong region are buying coffee at the highest price of 114,500 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,300 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province is 114,500 VND/kg, an increase of 2,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by 2,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are trading at 114,000 VND/kg.

In Lam Dong province, the price of coffee increased by 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 113,500 VND/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures for November 2025 delivery reached $4189 per ton, down 2.13% ($91 per ton) from yesterday. The January 2026 futures contract fell 2.22% ($94 per ton) to $4134 per ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery fell 1.53% (5.65 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 361.7 US cents/pound. The March 2026 contract fell 1.33% (4.65 US cents/pound), reaching 343.25 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery fell 0.13% (0.6 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 438.5 US cents/pound. The March 2026 contract rose 0.62% (2.7 US cents/pound), reaching 436 US cents/pound.

Oil prices today, September 23, 2025: Falling for the 5th consecutive session.

World oil prices continued to plummet as Iraq and the Kurdish authorities reached an agreement to restore the export pipeline to Türkiye, raising concerns about oversupply.

In afternoon trading on September 23, Brent crude oil prices fell 34 cents, or 0.51%, to $66.23 per barrel. US WTI crude oil also fell 29 cents to $61.99 per barrel.

Over the last five trading sessions, Brent has lost 3% while WTI has fallen by as much as 4%. The continued oversupply pressure remains the main reason for the market's difficulty in recovering.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced new retail fuel prices effective from 3 PM on September 18th. Specifically, they are as follows:

- The price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 230 VND, reaching a maximum of 19,986 VND/liter.

- The price of RON95 gasoline increased by 208 dong, reaching 20,608 dong/liter.

- The price of E10 RON 95-III gasoline increased sharply by 560 VND, reaching 20,600 VND/liter.

- Diesel fuel prices increased by 62 dong to 18,705 dong/liter.

- The price of kerosene increased by 176 dong to 18,544 dong/liter.

- The price of fuel oil increased by 40 dong, to 15,130 dong/kg.

During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not allocate or utilize funds from the Price Stabilization Fund.
