Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri provinces have ordered all students to stay home from school tomorrow, September 29th, to avoid Typhoon Bualoi.
At noon on September 28, Nghe An province decided to temporarily suspend classes for more than 945,000 students to ensure their safety before the storm.
Earlier, in Ha Tinh province, approximately 364,000 students were also given time off from school. Local authorities requested schools to closely monitor the weather situation to consider extending the break and arranging make-up classes to ensure the curriculum progresses as planned.
Quang Tri province has ordered more than 433,500 students to stay home from school starting next week. In Thanh Hoa, nearly 876,000 students from preschool to high school will have a day off on September 29th.
From September 30th, schools will proactively update information on the storm and its aftermath to report to local authorities and the Department of Education so that they can decide whether to extend the school closure if necessary.
The Department of Education and Training requests that heads of units and schools urgently inform students, preschool children, and trainees to take a day off from school on September 29th. At the same time, schools need to inspect their facilities and, if there is a risk of landslides, flash floods, or mudslides, students and teachers must be evacuated promptly.
After Typhoon No. 10 subsided, the school had to quickly clean up and repair the damage to welcome students back. Any incidents or damages must be reported immediately to the Department for assistance.
In addition to the aforementioned localities, in Da Nang, the authorities advise local governments to regularly monitor the actual situation to decide whether to suspend classes for preschool children and students. Vocational schools and universities have the right to make this decision independently.
In Hue, although there hasn't been a general announcement, some schools such as FPT Primary, Secondary, and High School have proactively given all students a day off on September 29th to ensure safety.

The storm's center is located at approximately 17.1 degrees North latitude and 108.3 degrees East longitude, 90 km east-northeast of Hue and 190 km south-southeast of Quang Tri. Maximum wind speeds are at level 12 (118-133 km/h), with gusts up to level 15. Over the next 3 hours, the storm will move west-northwest at a speed of 20-25 km/h.
Forecasts indicate that by 4 PM, the storm will move along the coast from Da Nang northward, in the sea area of Nghe An - Quang Tri, with wind speeds of level 12-13, gusts up to level 16, and a natural disaster risk level of 4.
Early morning on September 29th, the storm made landfall in Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh provinces with strong winds of force 9-10, gusting to force 13. Currently, the pre-storm circulation has caused heavy rain and strong winds in many areas such as Quang Tri, Da Nang, Ha Tinh, and Hue.
