Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri let all students stay home from school tomorrow, September 29, to avoid storm Bualoi.
On the afternoon of September 28, Nghe An province decided to temporarily suspend school for more than 945,000 students to ensure safety before the storm.
Previously, in Ha Tinh, about 364,000 students were also given a day off. Localities asked schools to closely monitor the weather to consider extending the break and arranging make-up classes to ensure program progress.
Quang Tri province has allowed more than 433,500 students to stay home from school starting next week. In Thanh Hoa, nearly 876,000 students from kindergarten to high school will stay home from school on September 29.
From September 30, schools will proactively update storm developments and circulation to report to local authorities and the Department of Education to decide whether to let students take more time off if necessary.

The Department of Education and Training requests heads of units and schools to urgently notify students, preschool children and trainees to stay home on September 29. The center of the storm is located at approximately 17.1 degrees North latitude; 108.3 degrees East longitude, 90 km East Northeast of Hue, 190 km South Southeast of Quang Tri. The strongest wind is level 12 (118-133 km/h), gusting to level 15. In the next 3 hours, the storm will move West Northwest at a speed of 20-25 km/h.
Forecast by 4pm, the storm will move along the coast from Da Nang to the North, in the sea area of Nghe An - Quang Tri, with strong winds of level 12-13, gusts of level 16, and natural disaster risk level 4.
Early on the morning of September 29, the storm entered the mainland of Thanh Hoa - Ha Tinh with strong winds of level 9-10, gusting to level 13. Currently, the circulation before the storm has caused heavy rain and strong winds in many places such as Quang Tri, Da Nang, Ha Tinh and Hue.
