Nghia Dan commune police and military promptly rescued pigs in floodwaters.
On September 29, prolonged heavy rains due to the impact of storm No. 10 caused serious flooding in Nghia Dan commune. Many households were isolated by floodwaters, including Mr. Le Duy Chung's family with a herd of 270 pigs, worth about 1.5 billion VND, facing the risk of loss.

Faced with the emergency, the Nghia Dan Commune Police and Military mobilized officers, soldiers and vehicles, and coordinated with local people to organize rescue and move the entire herd of pigs out of the deeply flooded area. Despite heavy rain and rising floodwaters, officers and soldiers were not afraid of danger, using floating rafts and rudimentary vehicles to transport each pig to safety.

Mr. Le Duy Chung's family's herd of 270 pigs was swept away, causing a loss of nearly 200 million VND. However, thanks to the drastic efforts of the government and other forces, the remaining 230 pigs were promptly relocated, helping Mr. Le Duy Chung's family minimize the damage./.
