The 20th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, for the 2025-2030 term, held its preliminary session.

Representatives from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the Central Inspection Committee attended, monitored, and directed the preparatory session.

Attending the preparatory session were: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation…

With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development," the Congress's theme is "Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; comprehensively innovating, achieving breakthrough development, and striving to make Nghe An a prosperous province and a national-level growth pole in the new development era."

In his opening remarks, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, stated that the preparatory session of the Congress would include: electing the Presidium and Secretariat of the Congress; electing the Committee for verifying the credentials of delegates; discussing and agreeing on the program, rules, and regulations of the Congress; disseminating and explaining some basic contents of the Party's election regulations; discussing and contributing opinions on the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party; and discussing and agreeing on some contents regarding election work, ceremonies, and activities of the delegations.

"To successfully implement the program, I urge all delegates to demonstrate the highest sense of responsibility, actively contribute ideas, and reach consensus on the contents of the preparatory session," the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

At the working session, with high concentration and consensus, the delegates voted to approve the Presidium consisting of 15 members; the Secretariat of 3 members, and the Credentials Committee of 7 members.

The Congress also voted to approve the work program, internal rules, and working regulations; and listened to the Presidium's dissemination and explanation of the Party's election regulations; and the summary report of comments on the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

During the working session, the Congress also discussed and contributed to the draft Political Report of the 14th National Congress of the Party, focusing on four key areas: evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the country's achievements after 40 years of reform; the viewpoints and goals for national construction and development in the new period; the structure and content of the 13 orientations for national development in the 2026-2030 period, including six key tasks and three strategic breakthroughs with priority contents within each strategic breakthrough; and the Action Program of the Central Committee of the Party to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

In addition, the Congress discussed and contributed to the draft Report summarizing some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented reform process in Vietnam over the past 40 years; the draft Report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011 - 2025) and proposed directions, additions, and amendments to the Party Charter.

After a productive, urgent, and serious working session, the preparatory meeting for the 20th Congress of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, has fully and effectively completed all the planned contents and programs.

On behalf of the Presidium, in his closing remarks at the preliminary session, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung respectfully thanked the comrades representing the Central Party Committees and the Central Inspection Committee for attending and guiding the preliminary session of the Congress; he also respectfully thanked, acknowledged, and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of all delegates attending the Congress, which significantly contributed to the success of the preliminary session.

To ensure that the official sessions of the Congress are of high quality and effectiveness, and to create high unity and consensus in the process of implementing the Congress's tasks, on behalf of the Presidium, the Provincial Party Secretary discussed and clarified a number of specific contents.

Accordingly, the comrade requested that delegates attending the Congress continue to uphold a high sense of responsibility, fully and strictly comply with the contents of the Rules and Regulations of the Congress that have been approved; study, participate in providing feedback, and preserve the Congress documents in accordance with regulations…

"For the Congress to be a great success, in addition to the efforts of the Organizing Committee, I suggest that delegates need to uphold a high sense of responsibility, a spirit of self-discipline, and close coordination in all tasks and activities of the Congress," emphasized Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung.

The Congress was divided into six groups to discuss and provide feedback on the Political Report of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee, 19th term, presented to the 20th Congress. The focus was on analyzing, evaluating, and commenting on the results of implementing the Resolution of the 19th Congress; the main goals, targets, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; breakthroughs, key programs, and the vision until 2045. Simultaneously, feedback was provided on the Review Report of the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee, 19th term.
