The 20th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, held a preparatory session.

Attending, monitoring and directing the preparatory session were representatives of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the Central Inspection Commission.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the Congress has the theme "Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; comprehensive innovation, breakthrough development, striving to turn Nghe An into a fairly developed province, a national growth pole in the new era of development".

In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said: At the preparatory session, the Congress will carry out the following contents: Electing the Presidium and the Secretariat of the Congress; Electing the Congress Delegate Qualification Review Committee; Discussing and unifying the Congress's program, rules and regulations; Disseminating and indoctrinating some basic contents on the Party's Election Regulations; Discussing and giving comments on the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party; Indoctrinating and unifying some contents on election work, rituals and activities of the delegations.

"To successfully implement the program, I request that delegates demonstrate the highest sense of responsibility, actively contribute opinions and unify the contents of the preparatory session," the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

At the working session, with high concentration and unity, the delegates voted to approve the Presidium consisting of 15 comrades; the Secretariat of 3 comrades, and the Delegate Qualification Examination Board of 7 comrades.

The Congress also voted to approve the working program, internal rules and regulations; at the same time listened to the Presidium disseminate and thoroughly understand the election regulations within the Party; and reported on the synthesis of comments on the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

At the working session, the Congress also discussed and contributed comments to the draft Political Report of the 14th National Party Congress with 4 key contents including: Assessment of the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the country's foundation after 40 years of renovation; viewpoints and goals of building and developing the country in the new period; structure and content of 13 orientations for national development in the period 2026 - 2030; including 6 key tasks, 3 strategic breakthroughs with priority contents in each strategic breakthrough; Action Program of the Party Central Committee to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

In addition, the Congress discussed and contributed to the draft Report summarizing a number of theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renovation process over the past 40 years in Vietnam; the Draft Report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011 - 2025) and proposed orientations, supplements and amendments to the Party Charter.

After a period of active, urgent and serious working, the preparatory session of the 20th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, fully and qualitatively completed the proposed contents and programs.

On behalf of the Presidium, delivering the closing speech at the preparatory session, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung respectfully thanked the comrades representing the Central Party Committees and the Central Inspection Commission for attending and directing the preparatory session of the Congress; at the same time, respectfully thanked, acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of all delegates attending the Congress, who made an important contribution to the success of the preparatory session.

In order for the working sessions of the official Congress to be of high quality and effectiveness, creating unity and high consensus in the process of implementing the tasks of the Congress, on behalf of the Presidium, the Provincial Party Secretary discussed and disseminated a number of specific contents.

Accordingly, he requested that delegates attending the Congress continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, fully and seriously comply with the contents of the Rules and Working Regulations of the Congress that have been approved; study, contribute comments, and preserve the documents of the Congress in accordance with regulations...

“In order for the Congress to be successful, in addition to the efforts of the Organizing Committee, I request that delegates need to raise their sense of responsibility, self-awareness and close coordination in all tasks and activities of the Congress,” emphasized Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung.

The Congress was divided into 6 groups to discuss and give comments on the Political Report of the 19th Provincial Party Executive Committee to be presented to the 20th Congress. The focus was on analyzing, evaluating, and giving comments on the content of the assessment of the implementation results of the 19th Congress Resolution; the goals, targets, tasks, and main solutions for the 2025-2030 term; breakthroughs, key programs, and vision to 2045. At the same time, comments were made on the Review Report of the 19th Provincial Party Executive Committee.
