The price of SJC gold bars was listed by DOJI Group at 136.4 - 138.4 million VND/tael (buy - sell). At the same time, the price of gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC and PNJ gold bars at 136.4 - 138.4 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

USD exchange rate today October 2, 2025: Central USD exchange rate remains unchanged

As of 6:00 a.m. on October 2, the State Bank announced the central USD exchange rate remained the same as yesterday, at 25,187 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Exchange is listed at 23,978 VND/USD for buying and 26,396 VND/USD for selling.

With a band of ±5%, the ceiling rate is 26,446 VND/USD and the floor rate is 23,927 VND/USD.

At Vietcombank, the USD price was adjusted down slightly, down to 26,176 VND/USD (buy) and 26,446 VND/USD (sell).

VietinBank kept the buying price at 26,065 VND/USD but reduced the selling price by 5 VND to 26,446 VND/USD.

Agribank also decreased by 5 VND in both directions, listing 26,270 VND/USD (buy) and 26,446 VND/USD (sell).

In the free market, trading is around 26,572 VND/USD (buy) and 26,652 VND/USD (sell), down 2 VND compared to yesterday.

In the international market, the USD Index (DXY), measuring the strength of the USD against a basket of major currencies, decreased 0.1% to 97.81 points compared to the previous session.

The euro edged up 0.1% to $1.1740, but still posted a 0.4% decline in the third quarter, its biggest decline since October 2024. The Australian dollar (AUD) rose 0.6% to $0.6615 after the Reserve Bank of Australia kept interest rates unchanged.

For the third quarter, the Australian dollar rose 0.5%. The British pound (GBP) rose 0.1% to $1.3450, but still fell 2% for the quarter, its lowest level in nearly a year.

Pepper price in Dak Lak decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, recorded at 146,000 VND/kg.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on October 2 (local time) as follows:

Specifically, the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at USD 6,979/ton. In addition, the price of Muntok white pepper remained unchanged from yesterday at USD 9,889/ton.

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,500/mt.

Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,600/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $13,000/ton.

Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.

In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.

Coffee price today October 2, 2025: Slight increase in Lam Dong

Domestic coffee prices today, October 2, 2025, in the Central Highlands region increased slightly in Lam Dong compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 114,700 - 116,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 116,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 116,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged from yesterday and were traded at VND115,800/kg.

In Lam Dong province, coffee prices increased by 400 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are at 114,700 VND/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 delivery reached 4,391 USD/ton, up 4.55% (191 USD/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for January 2026 delivery increased 4.52% (189 USD/ton), reaching 4,375 USD/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee futures for December 2025 delivery increased by 2.08% (7.8 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, reaching 382.65 US cents/pound. The contract for March 2026 delivery increased by 2.09% (7.5 US cents/pound), to 366.45 US cents/pound.

Gasoline price today October 2, 2025: Dropped to lowest level since early September

On October 2, world crude oil prices continued to plummet, hitting their lowest level since early September as OPEC+ considered increasing production and demand in the US and Asia showed signs of decreasing.

Brent crude for December delivery fell 56 cents, or 0.9%, to $65.47 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for November delivery also lost 53 cents, or 0.9%, to $61.84 a barrel. This was the lowest level since early September, after prices plunged more than 3% earlier in the week and continued to fall another 1.5% on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 25. Specifically as follows:

- E5 RON92 gasoline price decreased by 370 VND/liter to 19,610 VND/liter.

- RON 95-III gasoline price decreased by 440 VND/liter, to 20,160 VND/liter.

- Diesel oil slightly decreased by 50 VND/liter, to 18,650 VND/liter.

- Kerosene price increased by 80 VND/liter to 18,620 VND/liter.

- Fuel oil price increased by 70 VND/kg, up to 15,200 VND/kg.

At the opening session on October 2, in China, the October 2025 rubber futures price on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) fell 1.44% (210 yuan) to 14,265 yuan/ton. The November 2025 rubber futures price fell 0.75% (110 yuan) to 14,365 yuan/ton.
