On the morning of October 31, in Hanoi, the Central Emulation and Rewards Committee (Ministry of Home Affairs) organized an award ceremony for the writing contest on typical advanced examples in the emulation movements "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" and "For the poor - No one is left behind" for the period 2021-2025.

With the theme: "Footprints on the journey of innovation", the writing contest is organized to strengthen propaganda, discover, honor and replicate advanced models, breakthrough initiatives, good practices, outstanding contributions of individuals and collectives in implementing the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new countryside" and the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" in the period 2021 - 2025.

Thereby, strongly arousing the spirit of initiative, creativity, solidarity, self-reliance and self-improvement of the community in building new rural areas, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty. Raising awareness and responsibility of the whole society about the importance of the emulation movements "The whole country builds new rural areas", the emulation movements "For the poor - No one is left behind".

At the same time, through propaganda work, mobilize more social resources, encourage organizations, businesses and individuals to join hands for the poor, for the goal of sustainable rural development.

According to the Organizing Committee, after 2 months, the contest has attracted more than 1,000 entries from press agencies across the country. The entries focus on several main contents such as: Typical individuals and groups with initiatives and effective methods in building new rural areas; creative models and solutions in production development and income increase; stories of overcoming difficulties, helping the community, not leaving anyone behind; typical examples in supporting the poor, the disadvantaged, and ethnic minorities to improve their lives.

Many works mention the proactive role of people contributing their efforts, intelligence, and assets to build new rural areas with the government, solidarity and consensus in the community to change the local face, join hands to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; the role of political - social organizations and unions in accompanying people to build new rural areas and reduce poverty sustainably; typical models of economic development associated with preserving rural culture and environment, such as the OCOP model, community tourism, traditional craft villages... Individuals who know how to harmoniously combine economic development with preserving cultural identity, protecting natural resources; pioneers in changing backward customs, developing clean production, lifelong learning... have strong influence, are recognized and set as examples by the community.

In addition, the works also mention typical examples of digital technology applications in management, production and life, contributing to the modernization of agriculture and rural areas and gradually changing people's lives, especially the poor.

Speaking at the award ceremony, comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest emphasized: Hunger eradication and poverty reduction is a major, consistent and continuous policy of the Party and State. Under the leadership of the Party, the management of the Government and the joint efforts of the whole society, this work has achieved many important, comprehensive and sustainable results.

In particular, the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" in the period of 2021 - 2025 has brought about many practical results, significantly improving people's lives, especially in localities with high poverty rates.

The writing contest recognizes outstanding individuals and groups, spreading creative and effective models in sustainable poverty reduction, contributing to improving people's lives and promoting socio-economic development.

From 110 works in the final round, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize; 2 Second Prizes; 3 Third Prizes; 5 Encouragement Prizes for outstanding works. In which, Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television won Third Prize with the work“New life on Pa Khom peak" by the group of authors Chu Thi Khanh Ly - Nguyen Thi Phuc.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded secondary prizes to individuals and groups with impressive works and groups and individuals with many works participating in the contest.
