Nghe An Newspaper and Radio & Television Station win third prize in the writing competition "Footprints on the Journey of Innovation".

On the morning of October 31st, in Hanoi, the Central Emulation and Commendation Board (Ministry of Interior) held an awards ceremony for the writing competition on exemplary individuals in the emulation movements "The whole country joins forces to build new rural areas" and "For the poor - Leaving no one behind" for the period 2021-2025.

With the theme: "Footprints on the Journey of Innovation," the writing contest was organized to enhance the dissemination of information, identify, honor, and replicate advanced models, groundbreaking initiatives, good practices, and outstanding contributions of individuals and collectives in implementing the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" and the emulation movement "For the poor - Leaving no one behind" in the period 2021 - 2025.

This will strongly inspire the proactive, creative, united, self-reliant, and self-sufficient spirit of the community in building new rural areas and eradicating hunger and poverty. It will also raise awareness and responsibility throughout society regarding the importance of the emulation movements "The whole country builds new rural areas" and "For the poor - Leaving no one behind".

At the same time, through public awareness campaigns, we aim to mobilize additional social resources and encourage organizations, businesses, and individuals to join hands for the poor and for the goal of sustainable rural development.

According to the Organizing Committee, after two months, the competition attracted more than 1,000 entries from news agencies nationwide. The entries focused on several main themes, including: exemplary individuals and groups with innovative initiatives and effective methods in building new rural areas; creative models and solutions in production development and income improvement; stories of overcoming difficulties, helping the community, and ensuring no one is left behind; and outstanding examples of supporting the poor, vulnerable, and ethnic minorities to improve their lives.

Many works address the proactive role of citizens contributing their efforts, intellect, and assets to work with the government in building new rural areas; the unity and solidarity within the community to transform the local landscape and jointly eradicate poverty; the role of political and social organizations and associations in accompanying people in building new rural areas and achieving sustainable poverty reduction; and exemplary models of economic development linked to the preservation of rural culture and environment, such as the OCOP model, community tourism, and traditional craft villages. Individuals who harmoniously combine economic development with preserving cultural identity and protecting natural resources; pioneers in changing outdated practices, developing clean production, and lifelong learning... have a strong ripple effect and are recognized and held up as role models by the community.

In addition, the works also address exemplary applications of digital technology in management, production, and daily life, contributing to the modernization of agriculture and rural areas and gradually changing the lives of the people, especially the poor...

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Commendation Board, and Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition - emphasized: Poverty eradication is a major, consistent, and continuous policy of the Party and the State. Under the leadership of the Party, the administration of the Government, and the joint efforts of the whole society, this work has achieved many important, comprehensive, and sustainable results.

In particular, the emulation movement "For the poor - Leaving no one behind" for the period 2021-2025 has yielded many practical results, significantly improving the lives of people, especially in localities with high poverty rates.

The writing competition recognizes outstanding individuals and groups, spreading innovative and effective models in sustainable poverty reduction, contributing to improving people's lives and promoting socio-economic development.

From 110 entries in the final round, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize; 2 Second Prizes; 3 Third Prizes; and 5 Consolation Prizes to outstanding works. Among them, Nghe An Newspaper and Radio & Television won the Third Prize with their work."A new life on the summit of Pà Khốm"" by authors Chu Thi Khanh Ly and Nguyen Thi Phuc.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded supplementary prizes to individuals and groups with impressive works; and to groups and individuals with many entries.
