Miss H'Hen Niê revealed that her breast milk supply had drastically decreased from 120ml to 40ml due to stress, after publicly apologizing for a video of her husband using breast milk to make coffee.

Miss H'Hen Niê recently shared about her health and mental state after some stressful days. On her personal page, she revealed that her breast milk supply has decreased significantly, to only about one-third of what it used to be.
"Did you know that milk production can decrease significantly if you're malnourished, experiencing prolonged insomnia, or under too much stress? Have you ever experienced that? I have; my milk supply went from 120ml to just 40ml, a really big drop. But it's okay, I'll try my best," H'Hen Niê wrote.
This sharing has resonated with many people, especially mothers raising young children. In fact, stress can indirectly affect milk production. When a mother is tired, sleep-deprived, skips meals, or doesn't drink enough water, her body weakens and her ability to produce milk is affected. Additionally, the hormone cortisol, produced during stress, can slow the milk let-down reflex, making it more difficult for milk to flow.

H'Hen Niê's stress stemmed from a previous controversial incident. On November 1st, photographer Tuan Khoi, her husband, posted a video of himself making coffee using his wife's refrigerated breast milk and offering it to friends. This video quickly went viral and sparked mixed reactions from the online community.
Initially, H'Hen Niê explained that her husband was only "imitating a foreign video," but this statement only intensified the wave of criticism.
By the afternoon of November 3rd, Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 had officially issued a public apology. She wrote: “I apologize for the recent images and stories about my husband and me that have upset everyone. I also apologize to the men in the video and hope everyone will accept my sincerity. After reading the feedback, I have thought a lot about it and truly appreciate it.”

H'Hen Niê shared that this was the first time she and her husband had taken on the roles of parents, so they were still inexperienced and had shortcomings. She admitted to reacting hastily when defending her husband and affirmed that she did not condone inappropriate behavior. The beauty queen said that this incident was a memorable lesson for both of them on their journey to parenthood and thanked the public for their feedback.
