H'Hen Nie revealed that her breast milk supply decreased by 2/3 after her husband's scandal.

Mental health affects milk supply

Miss H'Hen Nie recently shared about her health and mental state after stressful days. On her personal page, she said that her breast milk supply has dropped significantly, only about a third of what it was before.

“Did you know that milk production will decrease significantly if the body lacks nutrients, has prolonged insomnia or is under too much pressure? Have you ever experienced that? I have, my milk production has gone from 120ml to only 40ml, which is a huge decrease. But it's okay, I will try my best,” H'Hen Nie wrote.

This sharing has received sympathy from many people, especially mothers who are raising young children. In fact, stress can indirectly affect milk production. When a mother is tired, lacks sleep, skips meals or does not drink enough water, the body will weaken and the ability to produce milk will be affected. In addition, the hormone cortisol produced during stress can slow down the milk ejection reflex, making it more difficult for milk to flow.

Looking back at the incident and the public apology

H'Hen Nie's stress stems from a previous controversial incident. On November 1, her husband, photographer Tuan Khoi, posted a video of him making coffee with his wife's frozen breast milk and inviting his friends to enjoy it. The video quickly went viral and received mixed reactions from the online community.

Initially, H'Hen Niê explained that her husband was only "following a foreign clip", but this statement only intensified the wave of criticism.

By the afternoon of November 3, Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 had officially sent a public apology. She wrote: “Hen apologizes for the recent images and stories of Hen and her husband that made everyone unhappy. Hen also apologizes to the men in the video and hopes everyone will accept Hen’s sincerity. After reading the comments, Hen thought a lot and truly appreciated them.”

H'Hen Nie shared that this was the first time she and her husband had taken on the role of parents, so there were still many surprises and shortcomings. She admitted that she reacted hastily when defending her husband and affirmed that she did not encourage wrong actions. H'Hen Nie was born in 1992 in Dak Lak, the first ethnic minority to be crowned Miss Universe Vietnam in 2017. She made a strong impression when she entered the Top 5 of Miss Universe 2018. Her husband is Nguyen Tuan Khoi, born in 1989, a photographer and director. The couple officially got married this year after many years together.
