On her personal page, Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong posted a picture of her house in Hue covered in a thick layer of mud after the floodwaters receded. The artist said the water rose about 1.5 meters, flooded into the house and damaged all the furniture and two motorbikes.

Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong shared: “It’s so hard to go back to my hometown now, everyone! Where should I start cleaning up? My two cars are wrecked. This kind of mud is a no-go.” She added that she was not in her hometown at the time of the flood and these images were taken on November 6 when she returned.

Due to the impact of storm No. 13 Kalmaegi landing in the area, Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong's family had to temporarily move to a hotel to ensure safety. "The storm is entering the South Central region, my family had to go to the hotel to sleep and can only pray for everyone to be safe," she wrote.

“The rising water has left me exhausted. I have barely slept in the past few days, and I have been listening to news about the water level every day,” said singer Anh Tuyet. She also expressed concern for her health after suffering two strokes and plans to see a doctor right after cleaning her house. The singer is planning to hold a fundraising concert to help people affected by the floods.

Singer Long Nhat's villa submerged in water
In Hue, singer Long Nhat’s 500m² villa was also heavily flooded. The singer said his family had experience dealing with storms and floods, so they proactively prepared food and wrapped their belongings carefully. When the water rose, the whole family moved to the upper floors to take shelter.

“The water rose so quickly that it almost submerged my mother’s altar. Luckily, we were quick to move my father, my mother’s altar and some important belongings upstairs,” Long Nhat recounted. He also expressed his sympathy for the people in the working-class neighborhood behind his house, who are facing more difficult circumstances. The male singer said that after the water receded, he would join everyone to overcome the consequences and support the local people.
