Floods in central Vietnam have severely damaged the homes of many artists, including Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong, singer Anh Tuyet, and Long Nhat, submerging them in mud and floodwaters.
The historic floods in the central provinces have caused severe property damage, including the homes of many artists in Hue and Da Nang. Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong, singer Anh Tuyet, and singer Long Nhat all shared about the difficult situation as their properties were submerged in water.

On her personal page, Meritorious Artist Cát Tường posted pictures of her house in Huế covered in a thick layer of mud after the floodwaters receded. The actress said the water had risen about 1.5 meters, flooding the house and damaging all the furniture and two motorbikes.

Meritorious Artist Cát Tường shared: “Coming back to my hometown, it's so hard now, everyone! Where do I even begin cleaning up? Two cars are completely wrecked. With this much mud, it's hopeless.” She added that she wasn't in her hometown during the flooding and these images were taken on November 6th when she returned.

Due to the impact of Typhoon Kalmaegi (Typhoon No. 13) making landfall in the area, the family of Meritorious Artist Cat Tuong had to temporarily move to a hotel for safety. "The typhoon is entering the South Central region, my family has to sleep in a hotel and can only pray for everyone's safety," she wrote.

In Da Nang, singer Anh Tuyet also faced a similar situation when her house was flooded, leading to power outages and a lack of clean water for several days. The singer had to struggle to move her belongings to higher ground and relocate 14 dogs and a 309kg pig to safety.

“The rising water has exhausted me. For the past few days, I’ve barely slept, constantly checking for news about the water level,” singer Ánh Tuyết shared. She also expressed concern for her health after suffering two strokes and plans to see a doctor immediately after cleaning up her house. The singer is planning to organize a fundraising concert to help people affected by the floods.

In Hue, singer Long Nhat's villa, approximately 500 square meters, was also severely flooded. The singer said that his family had experience dealing with storms and floods, so they had proactively prepared food and carefully wrapped their belongings. When the water rose, the whole family moved to the upper floors for shelter.

“The water rose so quickly it almost submerged my mother's altar. Luckily, we were quick to move my father, my mother's altar, and some important belongings upstairs,” Long Nhat recounted. He also expressed his sympathy for the people in the working-class neighborhood behind his house, who are facing even more difficult circumstances. The singer said that after the water recedes, he will work with everyone to overcome the consequences and support the local people.
