Actors Kha Ly and Thanh Duy recently took a trip to Thailand with their one-year-old daughter, Lita. The trip held special significance as the family visited a temple to offer thanks and fulfill a promise they had made in the past to have a child.
On her personal page, Kha Ly shared a touching moment witnessing her young daughter sincerely bowing in prayer. The actress wrote: “Before, my parents went to Thailand to pray for a baby. After giving birth to Lita, they promised to bring her to offer thanks. Seeing my baby bowing to Buddha, I felt so much affection, she was so sincere. She bowed to thank Buddha for granting her health and peace. We are grateful to God.”
An 8-year journey and a sacred promise.
Before welcoming baby Lita in July 2024, Kha Ly and Thanh Duy had gone through eight challenging years on their journey to have a child since getting married in 2016. The actress had unfortunately suffered a miscarriage, which made the couple even more worried and anxious.
Kha Ly once confided about the pressure and encouragement from her husband: “I know my partner is eager but doesn't say it out loud, always encouraging me with the saying 'children are a gift from God,' not wanting to put pressure on me, so that I feel comfortable. It took eight years for us to finally become parents.” Due to past experiences, the couple kept the pregnancy a secret until the seventh month of gestation before sharing the good news with the public.

The couple's firstborn daughter's birth name is Truc An, and her nickname is Lita. She is said to have inherited many of her mother's beautiful features and is bright, intelligent, and independent from a young age. Although happy with their new roles, Kha Ly and Thanh Duy admit to having disagreements in their parenting views. However, they always try to understand and support each other to provide the best care for their daughter, Lita.
Kha Ly said she chose a flexible parenting method that suits both mother and child, rather than rigidly adhering to any rules. “Each child has a different personality. I don't strictly adhere to rules; I'm more relaxed in raising my child... Children don't like being forced. So I always create the most comfortable environment for my child. Actually, that also makes things comfortable for the mother. A healthy mother has the strength to raise her child,” the actress shared.
