Actor couple Kha Ly and Thanh Duy recently had a trip to Thailand with their 1-year-old daughter, Lita. The trip had a special meaning as the family went to a temple to give thanks, fulfilling a promise they had made in praying to have a child.
On her personal page, Kha Ly shared an emotional moment when she witnessed her little daughter sincerely bowing. The actress wrote: “In the past, my parents went to Thailand to pray for a baby. When they returned, they gave birth to Lita and promised to bring her back to pay respects. Seeing my baby bow to Buddha, I felt so sorry, very sincere. I bow to thank Buddha for health and peace. We thank God.”
8-year journey and sacred promise
Before welcoming baby Lita in July 2024, Kha Ly and Thanh Duy had gone through 8 challenging years on the journey to find a child since getting married in 2016. The actress had unfortunately suffered a miscarriage, making the couple even more worried and anxious.
Kha Ly once confided about the pressure and encouragement from her husband: “I know my partner is anxious but doesn’t say anything, always encouraging me that ‘children are a gift from God’, not wanting to put pressure on her, to make her feel comfortable. It took eight years for both of us to be able to become parents.” Because of past experiences, the couple kept the pregnancy a secret until the seventh month of pregnancy before sharing the good news with the public.

The couple's first daughter's birth name is Truc An, nicknamed Lita. She is said to have inherited many of her mother's beautiful features, being smart, intelligent and independent since childhood. Kha Ly and her husband often share their daughter's lovely moments on social networks, take her on trips and attend family events.

Although happy with their new roles, Kha Ly and Thanh Duy also admit that they have differences in their views on raising children. However, both always try to understand and accompany each other to take the best care of baby Lita.
Kha Ly said she chose a flexible parenting method that suits both mother and child instead of rigidly following any rules. “Each child has a different personality. I am not too strict but more relaxed in raising my children... Children do not like to be forced. So I always make my children feel most comfortable in their daily activities. Actually, that also makes the mother comfortable. Only when the mother is healthy can she have the strength to raise her children,” the actress shared.
