Nghe An: Highlights of March 17th

*Comrade Nguyen Khac Than- The Central Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary chaired a meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to discuss several issues within his authority. At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than requested that the entire political system, from the province to the grassroots, clearly recognize existing shortcomings, draw profound lessons, and focus on leading, directing, and organizing the construction and completion of multi-level boarding schools in border communes with high intensity and decisiveness, on schedule.

*Comrade Nguyen Van De- A member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee surveyed potential locations for investors to choose for the construction of a fruit processing plant and inspected several pineapple growing areas in the province. According to the plan, Nghe An province will plant 1,000 hectares of new pineapples to supply raw materials for the Dong Giao Export Food Joint Stock Company's fruit processing plant, which has a capacity of 50,000 tons of product per year and is expected to begin construction in Nghe An in June this year.

*Monitoring team of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party CommitteeThe conference was held to announce Decision No. 690-QD/TU, dated March 13, 2026, on monitoring the leadership, direction, organization, and implementation of resolutions and action programs; building and implementing working regulations; and implementing key programs and projects to carry out the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term for the Standing Committees of the Party Committees of Than Linh, Phuc Loc, and Hai Loc communes.

*Comrade Phung Thanh Vinh- Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, inspected and held meetings to urge progress in the implementation and disbursement of public investment projects from the capital source for socio-economic infrastructure development in the Western region according to Resolution No. 137/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly.

* The Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union organized a ceremony to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026); honored 16 outstanding young Party members and awarded the Ly Tu Trong Award at the provincial level in 2026 to 15 Youth Union officials.
