Nghe An: Highlights of August 16th
The solemn commemoration of the 85th anniversary of the death of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai; the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee implementing new regulations on 19 things that Party members are not allowed to do; Nghe An processing businesses face great pressure due to a shortage of raw materials; and 11 sectors must complete account linking with VNeID before December 31, 2026... are some of the highlights of the day.
* On the morning of August 16th, at the Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Memorial House (Thanh Vinh Ward), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a solemn ceremony.Organize a ceremony to offer flowers and incense.Commemorating the 85th anniversary of the death of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - former Secretary of the Saigon-Chợ Lớn City Party Committee. Attending the ceremony were: Comrade Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; along with members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments, agencies, units and localities.
*Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party CommitteeThe Party Central Committee has just issued Plan No. 75-KH/TU to implement Regulation No. 207-QĐ/TW on things that Party members are not allowed to do. The plan requires strict implementation of Regulation No. 207-QĐ/TW, strengthening inspection and supervision, proactively preventing violations; while ensuring that it does not hinder the spirit of innovation, creativity, and daring to think and act for the common good.
*Supply has decreased.The continuously rising purchase prices are putting increasing pressure on many processing businesses in Nghe An province. Not only are production costs increasing, but the shortage of raw materials is forcing many factories to operate below capacity, or even temporarily suspend production, directly impacting business efficiency and the ability to fulfill signed orders.
* Decree 320/2026/ND-CP stipulates that 12 sectors must link and verify electronic transaction accounts with electronic identification accounts. Among them,11 areas with deadlines to be completed by December 31, 2026.The bank's term is valid until June 30, 2027.
*On the eve of the new school yearMany bookstores in Nghe An are facing a shortage of textbooks due to a surge in demand in a short period. While suppliers are accelerating the import of books, many parents and students still have to go to multiple places to find the missing titles.

* At noon on August 16th,on the North-South ExpresswayA collision occurred between a passenger bus and a container truck in Nghe An province, resulting in dozens of people being hospitalized for emergency treatment.

* It's not just an ancient temple nearly two centuries old standing by the Lam River,Luong Son communal house (Do Luong commune)It was also a cradle of revolution, the place where the Party branch of the Dang Son - Bach Ngoc region was established, and commemorated the sacrifice of 7 Red Self-Defense Force members. Today, this special national historical site still preserves traces of one of the precursor organizations of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force.
