Nghe An earns more than 6,000 billion VND from tourism

(Baonghean.vn) - In 2017, the total number of visitors and tourists in the province is estimated at 5.96 million; total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 6,086 billion VND.

2017 is considered a year with many positive steps for Nghe An tourism. Statistics from the Department of Tourism show that in 2017, Nghe An welcomed about 5.96 million visitors; of which over 3.85 million were overnight visitors, equal to 135% compared to 2016 and reaching 106.9% of the annual plan. Notably, there were 109,100 international visitors, equal to 142% compared to 2016.

Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 6,086 billion VND, of which, revenue from international visitors reached nearly 13.4 million USD, equal to 143% compared to 2016, revenue from tourism services is estimated at 3,092 billion VND, up 38% compared to 2016 and reaching 120.8% of the yearly plan.

Many new tourist attractions and points always attract a large number of visitors. Kim Lien relic site welcomed and served over 1.8 million visitors in the year, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2016, including over 6,000 international visitors; Cua Lo town welcomed 2.47 million tourists, including 1.41 million overnight visitors, reaching 143% of the plan, with total tourism revenue estimated at VND2,280 billion, an increase of 82.8% over the same period in 2016 and reaching 139.6% of the 2017 plan.

In addition, cultural, ecological and spiritual tourist attractions in the province, such as: Truong Bon historical relic site, Hoang Muoi Temple, Con Temple, Dai Tue Pagoda, Quang Trung Temple, Vietnam-Laos Martyrs Cemetery, Muong Thanh Safari Dien Lam Eco-tourism Area, Con Cuong District community tourism, Cau Cau Thanh Chuong Tea Island Eco-tourism Area... all have a high increase in the number of visitors compared to 2016./.
