Nghe An earns more than 6,000 billion VND from tourism

2017 is considered a year with many positive steps for Nghe An tourism. Statistics from the Department of Tourism show that in 2017, Nghe An welcomed about 5.96 million visitors; of which over 3.85 million were staying, equal to 135% compared to 2016 and reaching 106.9% of the yearly plan. Notably, there were 109,100 international visitors, equal to 142% compared to 2016.
Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 6,086 billion VND, of which international visitor revenue reached nearly 13.4 million USD, equal to 143% compared to 2016, tourism service revenue is estimated at 3,092 billion VND, up 38% compared to 2016 and reaching 120.8% of the yearly plan.
Many new tourist attractions and points of interest always attract a large number of visitors. Kim Lien relic site welcomed and served over 1.8 million visitors in the year, an increase of 33% over the same period in 2016, including over 6,000 international visitors; Cua Lo town welcomed 2.47 million tourists, including 1.41 million overnight visitors, reaching 143% of the plan, total tourism revenue is estimated at 2,280 billion VND, an increase of 82.8% over the same period in 2016 and reaching 139.6% of the plan for 2017.
In addition, cultural, ecological and spiritual tourist attractions in the province, such as Truong Bon historical relic site, Hoang Muoi Temple, Con Temple, Dai Tue Pagoda, Quang Trung Temple, Vietnam-Laos Martyrs Cemetery, Muong Thanh Safari Dien Lam eco-tourism area, Con Cuong district community tourism, Cau Cau Thanh Chuong Tea Island eco-tourism area... all have increased in number of visitors compared to 2016./.
