*Also related to the western region of Nghe An, but this is...The issue of creating an environment for elephant conservation. They live in the mountains and forests. On October 24th, two elephants (mother and calf) unexpectedly appeared in the planted forest area of local people in Dom 1 village, Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district. This is not the first time wild elephants have ventured into human settlements in search of food.

According to statistics from the Department of Agriculture, Nghe An province has 5 elephant herds with approximately 16 elephants; it is the third-largest wild elephant population in the country, after Dak Lak and Dong Nai. However, of the 5 herds, 3 are isolated and no longer capable of reproduction.

The article "The Unsolved Problem of Merging Isolated Elephant Herds in Nghe An" by Tien Hung will offer a more detailed perspective on this issue.
