Nghe An: Highlights on October 29

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that exactly one year ago, the Government issued Resolution 128 on safe and flexible adaptation, effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic, both preventing and combating the COVID-19 pandemic and recovering and developing the socio-economy. 10 months of 2022 have passed, the situation has had many complicated and unpredictable developments, but the socio-economic situation of the whole country has achieved many basic and important results. At the regular meeting in October, the Government analyzed and evaluated the results, lessons learned, assessed the situation, and proposed viewpoints and solutions for direction and management in the following months to achieve the goals set by the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government.

*On the morning of October 29, at the regular meeting of October 2022,The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has approved the planning project.Construction of Do Luong district, Nghe An province, period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 and General planning project for urban construction of Do Luong, Do Luong district, Nghe An province (scale 1/10,000).

The above two planning projects play a very important role in the vision, strategy and concretization of building Do Luong into a town according to the Resolution of the 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.

Accordingly, the Do Luong district construction planning project includes the entire area within the administrative boundary of Do Luong district, including 33 administrative units; is the new economic and cultural center of Nghe An province, playing a driving role in the economic and social development of the western region of Nghe An; is the East, West, South, North traffic connection point connecting the western districts with Vinh city, Cua Lo town, Southeast Economic Zone and coastal districts of the province.

Do Luong district is oriented to develop 3 urban areas: Do Luong (including the existing Do Luong town and surrounding areas) is a type IV urban area with the function of being the administrative, cultural, scientific and technical and commercial service center of Do Luong town and the western districts of Nghe An province; Giang Son urban area is a type V urban area with the function of being an ecological urban area in the northwest of the district; Thuong Son urban area is a type V urban area with the function of being a commercial service urban area in the southeast of the district.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee gave its opinion on the Master Plan for Urban Construction of Do Luong, Do Luong District, Nghe An Province (scale 1/10,000) established within the administrative boundaries of 14 communes and towns including: the existing Do Luong Town and the entire area of ​​11 communes: Boi Son, Trang Son, Dang Son, Dong Son, Nam Son, Bac Son, Yen Son, Van Son, Da Son, Lac Son, Luu Son and part of the area of ​​2 communes: Thinh Son, Hoa Son. The total planning area is 7,930 hectares.

*Also at the meeting,The Provincial Party Standing Committee has given opinions and approved the licensing policy.invested in 2 projects with total capital of more than 275 million USD.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee agreed on the investment policy of Luxshare - ICT (Nghe An) 2 Project at VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park on an area of ​​36.18 hectares invested by Luxshare - ICT Nghe An Company Limited.

The electronic components manufacturing project with a designed capacity of 74 million products/year has a total investment of 150 million USD, equivalent to 3,440 billion VND, expected to start construction in January 2023 and officially go into production in March 2024.

The project, once operational, will contribute to the state budget and create jobs for more than 14,000 workers.

Also at the meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee approved the investment policy of Tan Viet Metal Science and Technology Factory, invested by Yongjin Vietnam Metal Science and Technology Co., Ltd. in WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An with a total investment of more than 125 million USD, equivalent to more than 2.9 trillion VND.

*Tonight, at Truong Bon National Monument, My Son Commune (Do Luong District), Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and related units organized the art program "Truong Bon - Legendary heroic epic". The program aims to recreate the glorious dedication, heroic sacrifice, and resilience of a generation of young people on Highway 15A and Truong Bon. Especially the spirit of working, fighting bravely, and the heroic sacrifice of 13 young volunteers at Truong Bon 54 years ago.

*After the historic flash flood in early October, in addition to hundreds of houses being damaged and completely swept away, many traffic routes in Ky Son district were also severely devastated. Among them,The route from Muong Xen town through Ta Ca commune to Tay Sonconsidered the most arduous route because it was completely cut off, forcing people to walk for nearly a month.

Currently, the most serious landslide on the Muong Xen - Tay Son (Ky Son) route after the flash flood continues to be repaired and is expected to be reopened to traffic today, October 29.

*Also related to the Western Nghe An region but isthe problem of creating an environment to conserve elephantsare living in the mountains and forests. On October 24, two elephants (mother and child) suddenly appeared in the forest planted by people in Dom 1 village, Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district. This is not the first time that wild elephants have "groped" into human habitats to look for food.

According to statistics from the Department of Agriculture, Nghe An province has 5 herds of elephants with about 16 elephants; it is the locality with the 3rd largest number of wild elephants in the country, after Dak Lak and Dong Nai. However, out of the 5 herds, 3 are isolated and no longer have the ability to develop.
