A male student from Phan High School wins a Silver Medal at the European Physics Olympiad.
This is the second consecutive year that students from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted have won a Silver Medal at the European Physics Olympiad. The student who brought home this medal is Tran Nguyen Khai.
The European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) is organized annually by Leibniz University Hannover and the Leibniz Institute for Science and Mathematics Education, starting in 2017.
In 2025, the competition was held in Bulgaria from June 13-17, attracting approximately 200 contestants from 29 European countries and 10 invited delegations.

The Vietnamese delegation participating in this competition consists of 5 members selected by the Vietnam Physics Society from students who won prizes in the national excellent student selection exam in the 2024-2025 school year.
At the end of the competition, 4 out of 5 students on the Vietnamese team won medals.
Among them, the two students who won Gold Medals were Nguyen Tran Hieu (Bac Ninh Specialized High School, Bac Ninh province) and Nguyen Le Dang Khoa (Gifted High School, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City).

The student who won the Silver Medal is Tran Nguyen Khai, a student in class 12A3 from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School. Prior to this, Tran Nguyen Khai had twice won the national award for excellence in Physics. He won second prize in 11th grade and first prize in 12th grade.
The remaining two members of the Vietnamese delegation, Cap Kim Hoang Bao (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang), won a Bronze Medal, and Ha Tuan Kiet (Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted) received a Certificate of Merit.
Thus, for two consecutive years, students from Nghe An have won Silver Medals at the competition.European Physics OlympiadIn 2024, the person who brought home this medal was Phan Quang Triet, Khai's classmate.
Thus, with this Silver Medal, students from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School have won a total of 5 medals this school year, including 2 Gold Medals in Chemistry and Physics, and 3 Silver Medals in Russian and Physics.
This summer, students from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted will continue to participate in the International Mathematical Olympiad and the International Physics Olympiad.
