Busting a group of teenagers stealing motorbikes along inter-provincial roads
Tan Mai Ward Police (Nghe An Province) has just arrested 05 subjects aged 14 - 16 years old for theft. This group has caused a series of motorbike thefts in Nghe An, Thanh Hoa provinces and Hanoi city.
Previously, on July 16, 2025, Tan Mai Ward Police received a report from Mr. D.D.H., residing in Quynh Mai Ward, Nghe An Province, stating: At around 8:00 p.m. on July 15, 2025, he drove a Wave Alpha motorbike with license plate 37SA-177.. to Th. Restaurant in Tan Dong block, Tan Mai Ward, then parked the motorbike outside to eat and drink. At 10:00 p.m. the same day, when he left, the motorbike was nowhere to be found.
Immediately after receiving the report, the ward police conducted an investigation and search. By using professional measures, by 6:00 p.m. on July 16, 2025, the police force successfully arrested 3 subjects including: LTTĐ. (born in 2010, residing in village 14) and NVTh. (born in 2010, residing in village 4, Hoang Mai ward); BMT (born in 2011, residing in Yen Hop residential group, Quynh Mai ward, Nghe An province).
Expanding the investigation of the case, on July 17, 2025, Tan Mai Ward Police continued to arrest 02 subjects LCTr. and BVV (both born in 2009, residing in Yen Hop residential group, Quynh Mai ward); at the same time, investigated and clarified 04 more cases.theft of propertyby the subjects. Specifically as follows:
At 11:00 p.m. on June 21, 2025, in Cau Giay district (old), Hanoi city, LTTĐ., LCTr., NVTH., BMT stole a Wave Alpha motorbike and drove together to Nghe An.
At about 11:00 p.m. on June 23, 2025, when the four subjects passed through Nghi Son town (old), Thanh Hoa province, they continued to steal a red and black Wave Alpha motorbike parked on the side of the road and drove both motorbikes to Nghe An.
Then, the subjects sold 2 cars to HTM (born in 1967, residing in village 1, Hoang Mai ward) and NQT (born in 1978, residing in Yen Ninh block, Tan Mai ward).
After selling the two aforementioned vehicles, the four subjects continued to Hanoi and met BVV. At about 5:00 p.m. on June 25, 2025, the five subjects stole a red Wave Alpha and handed it over to NVP (born in 2003, residing in Yen Phu residential group, Quynh Mai ward) to sell. At 12:00 p.m. on June 27, 2025, LTTĐ., LCTr, NVTh., BMT and BVV invited each other to Vinh city (old) to play games. Afterwards, the subjects stole a blue Wave Alpha.
On July 15, 2025, after continuing to steal vehicles in Tan Dong block, Quynh Di ward (Nghe An province), the subjects drove the vehicle to Bac Ninh province to pawn it to HTĐ (born in 1999, residing in Yen Trung commune) and TXT (born in 1998, residing in Trung Chinh commune, also in Bac Ninh province) to get money to spend.
At the police station, the suspects confessed that they would go along the streets, taking advantage of the late night or deserted places to approach, remove the car's fairing to reconnect the wires, start the engine, and then drive away. The subjects took the stolen property to pawn and used the money for personal expenses.
Currently, Tan Mai Ward Police have seized 02 motorbikes as evidence and continue to summon related subjects to consolidate records and handle according to the provisions of law.
