Authorities dismantle a gang of teenagers stealing motorbikes along inter-provincial roads.

The police in Tan Mai ward (Nghe An province) have just arrested five individuals aged 14-16 for theft. This group was responsible for a series of motorbike thefts in Nghe An, Thanh Hoa provinces and Hanoi city.

Previously, on July 16, 2025, the Tan Mai Ward Police received a report from Mr. D.D.H., residing in Quynh Mai Ward, Nghe An Province, stating that: At approximately 8 PM on July 15, 2025, he rode his Wave Alpha motorbike with license plate 37SA-177... to Th. Restaurant in Tan Dong Block, Tan Mai Ward, and parked it outside to go inside for a meal. At 10 PM the same day, when he returned, his motorbike was missing.

Immediately after receiving the report, the ward police conducted an investigation. Using professional methods, at 6:16 PM on July 16, 2025, the police successfully arrested three suspects: L.T.T.D. (born in 2010, residing in Hamlet 14) and NV.Th. (born in 2010, residing in Hamlet 4, both in Hoang Mai ward); and B.M.T. (born in 2011, residing in Yen Hop residential area, Quynh Mai ward, Nghe An province).

Expanding the investigation, on July 17, 2025, Tan Mai Ward Police continued to arrest two more suspects, LCTr. and BVV (both born in 2009, residing in Yen Hop residential area, Quynh Mai Ward); and simultaneously investigated and clarified four more cases.theft of propertyThis was done by the following individuals:

At 11 PM on June 21, 2025, in Cau Giay District (formerly), Hanoi City, LTTD., LCTr., NVTH., BMT stole a Wave Alpha motorbike and then drove it together to Nghe An.

At approximately 11 PM on June 23, 2025, while passing through the former Nghi Son town area in Thanh Hoa province, the four suspects stole a red and black Wave Alpha motorcycle parked on the roadside and then drove both motorcycles back to Nghe An.

Subsequently, the suspects sold the two vehicles to HTM (born in 1967, residing in Hamlet 1, Hoang Mai Ward) and NQT (born in 1978, residing in Yen Ninh Block, Tan Mai Ward).

After selling the two aforementioned vehicles, the four suspects continued to Hanoi and met with BVV. Around 5 PM on June 25, 2025, the five suspects stole a red Wave Alpha motorcycle and handed it over to NVP (born in 2003, residing in Yen Phu residential area, Quynh Mai ward) to sell. At 12 PM on June 27, 2025, LTTĐ., LCTr, NVTh., BMT, and BVV went to Vinh City (formerly) to play games. Afterwards, the suspects stole a dark blue Wave Alpha motorcycle.

On July 15, 2025, after stealing another vehicle in Tan Dong Hamlet, Quynh Di Ward (Nghe An Province), the suspects drove the vehicle to Bac Ninh Province and pawned it to HTD (born in 1999, residing in Yen Trung Commune) and TXT (born in 1998, residing in Trung Chinh Commune, both in Bac Ninh Province) to get money for their expenses.

At the police station, the suspects confessed that they would travel along various roads, taking advantage of late nights or deserted areas to approach vehicles, remove the fairings to reconnect the electrical wires, start the engines, and then drive away with the stolen vehicles. They would pawn the stolen property and use the money for personal expenses.

Currently, the Tan Mai Ward Police have seized two motorcycles as evidence and are continuing to summon related individuals to consolidate the case file and handle it according to the law.
