Nghe An police arrest a group of 'kid' thieves who committed many motorbike thefts

Previously, through professional work, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police discovered a group of 6 young people with many suspicions related to property theft in the area. The subjects in this group are very young, 5/6 of them are under 16 years old, especially 2 subjects in this group of thieves are studying at secondary schools in Vinh city.

The police determined that in a short period of time, the subjects had stolen 3 motorbikes from people in Vinh city. The stolen property was sold by the subjects for money to spend or continued to be used as a means of transportation. The group's actions caused insecurity and disorder and anger among the masses.

After a period of synchronous application of professional measures on May 7, 2025, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police summoned and arrested the group of 6 young people mentioned above for property theft. The arrested subjects are between 14 and 16 years old, all residing in Vinh city.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Public Security has decided to prosecute the criminal case of "Theft of property" as prescribed in Article 173 of the Penal Code and continue to consolidate documents, evidence, and expand the investigation of the case.
