Nghe An police arrested two young men for buying and selling "Tobacco" drugs.
On September 19th, the Thanh Vinh Ward Police (Nghe An province) announced the arrest of two 19-year-old youths for illegally buying and selling narcotics. This is one of the first cases in Nghe An to detect and handle "Tobacco" – a type of synthetic cannabis disguised as herbal tobacco.
Accordingly, the Thanh Vinh Ward Police arrested Do Duc Anh (residing in Tan Vinh Hamlet, Thanh Vinh Ward) while he was carrying 18 nylon bags containing yellow herbal fibers suspected to be "Tobacco". Upon searching his vehicle, the police also seized two pink boxes, each containing a silver nylon bag with the same suspected drug substance inside.

Expanding the investigation, the police arrested Bui Van Nhat (residing in Block 10, Truong Vinh Ward) while he was hiding at an internet cafe. At the scene, law enforcement officers seized three more plastic bags containing drugs. Nhat confessed to selling the drugs to Duc Anh for 2.8 million VND.
According to the police, "Tobaco" is a type of synthetic cannabis infused into dried, finely chopped plant material. It resembles cigarettes or pipe tobacco, is difficult to detect with the naked eye, and can only be accurately identified through scientific analysis or signs of use.

In fact, a segment of today's youth still considers "Tobaco" not to be true.addictive substancesThis has led to a situation where people are buying and using it despite warnings from authorities.
The timely arrest and handling of the two suspects demonstrates the determination of the Nghe An Provincial Police in combating drug crimes, especially new and cleverly disguised types of drugs, in order to protect public health and maintain security and order in the area.
