Solemn Ceremony to Commemorate the 233rd Anniversary of the Death of Emperor Quang Trung
On September 20 (July 29, At Ty year), at Emperor Quang Trung Temple on top of Dung Quyet mountain, Truong Vinh ward solemnly held the 233rd death anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Major General Hoang Duy Chien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Truong Vinh Ward; representatives of provincial departments and branches, leaders of wards and communes and a large number of people.
Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue was a national hero, a military genius, who overthrew feudal forces, erased the border that had divided the country for more than 200 years, and wiped out 50,000 Siamese troops with the victory of Rach Gam - Xoai Mut in 1785.
In particular, the historic victory of Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da, which defeated 290,000 Qing troops and liberated Thang Long citadel by Emperor Quang Trung, created a resounding victory in the history of our nation's fight against foreign invaders.

Emperor Quang Trung was also an outstanding politician with many policies of recruiting talented people, treating them well, winning people's hearts, leading the country in economic, cultural, social aspects and friendly relations with neighboring countries, integrating into the common progress of humanity.
The Tay Son Dynasty under the reign of Emperor Quang Trung took care of the country's revival. On October 1, 1788, Emperor Quang Trung issued an edict to build the capital Phoenix in Yen Truong commune, Chan Loc district at the foot of Dung Quyet mountain, now Truong Vinh ward, Nghe An province.
While the country was on the path of development, peace and prosperity, on September 16, 1792 (July 29, Nham Ty year), Emperor Quang Trung passed away at the age of 39. Every year, the death anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung is solemnly held according to traditional rituals on the 29th day of the 7th lunar month at the Temple of the Cloth Hero on Dung Quyet mountain.

Before that, the Great Sacrifice Ceremony was also held solemnly and sacredly with traditional sacrificial rituals, proclamations and memorial prayers to commemorate the heroic spirit of Emperor Quang Trung and the civil and military mandarins of the Tay Son uprising army.
