A group of young thieves stole a series of motorbikes.
Fond of partying and hanging around, three young thieves got together to commit many motorbike thefts, selling them for money to share. Of these, two were discovered and arrested by the working group of the Bac Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi).
On October 30, the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Tu Liem District (Hanoi) issued a decision to prosecute two subjects in a gang that committed nearly ten motorbike thefts in Hanoi, including Nguyen Van Hung and Dao Van Kien (both born in 2007, residing in Kim Lu Commune, Soc Son, Hanoi) to investigate the crime of property theft.
Previously, at around 7:40 p.m. on October 19, a task force from the Bac Tu Liem District Police was patrolling in Xuan Dinh Ward when they discovered two young men riding a Honda Wave motorbike without a license plate, acting suspiciously, so they conducted an administrative check. When the patrol team approached, the two subjects suddenly increased the speed and tried to run away, but were promptly restrained by the task force.

On-site investigation revealed that the two suspects were Nguyen Van Hung and Dao Van Kien. The two suspects confessed that they were on their way to find a motorbike to steal when they were checked.
At the police station, Nguyen Van Hung and Dao Van Kien confessed that due to lack of money for entertainment, they decided to steal motorbikes in Hanoi to sell for money to spend.
To avoid detection, Kien removed the license plate of his motorbike and drove Nguyen Van Hung around the streets looking for unattended motorbikes to steal. When he found his “prey”, Kien parked nearby, while Hung approached, connected the electric wire to start the motorbike, then sped away. Using this trick, Hung and Kien successfully stole 2 motorbikes together and sold them for 14 million VND.

In addition, Hung also confessed that he and Nguyen Cong Hoa, born in 2008, residing in Kim Lu, Soc Son, Hanoi, committed 4 motorbike thefts in Xuan Dinh ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi, selling them for nearly 25 million VND and sharing them.
The preliminary asset valuation results show that the total value of the motorbikes stolen by Nguyen Van Hung and Dao Van Kien is about 66 million VND. Although Hung and Kien are both under 18 years old, they have committed serious crimes and committed them many times, so the Investigation Police Agency of Bac Tu Liem District Police has decided to temporarily detain and prosecute them for investigation and handling according to regulations. Meanwhile, Nguyen Cong Hoa is currently on the run, being sought by Bac Tu Liem District Police and continuing to investigate and expand the case.
