As of 6:00 a.m. today, September 23, 2025, the domestic gold bar price increased by 600,000 VND/tael compared to yesterday. Specifically:

The price of SJC gold bars was listed by DOJI Group at 131.6 - 133.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell). At the same time, the price of gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC and PNJ gold bars at 131.6 - 133.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 132.6 - 133.6 million VND/tael for buying and selling. The price of gold bars at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited was traded by the enterprise at 131.6 - 133.6 million VND/tael (buying and selling).

USD exchange rate today September 23: Extending the increasing streak

As of 6:00 a.m. on September 23, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate at 25,189 VND/USD, an increase of 3 VND compared to the previous session.

With a fluctuation range of ±5%, the floor and ceiling exchange rates are set at 23,930 VND/USD and 26,448 VND/USD, respectively.

At the State Bank of Vietnam, the reference exchange rate is listed at 23,980 VND/USD for buying and 26,398 VND/USD for selling.

In the free market in Hanoi, the greenback traded around 26,440 - 26,540 VND/USD, down 25 VND compared to before. This created a difference compared to the banking system where the exchange rate here mostly increased.

Major banks have different adjustments but the general trend is still increasing:

Vietcombank listed at 26,178 - 26,448 VND/USD, up in both directions.

VietinBank announced buying and selling prices at 26,207 - 26,448 VND/USD, up 1 VND for buying and 3 VND for selling.

Techcombank offers 26,199 - 26,448 VND/USD, up 7 VND for buying and 3 VND for selling.

BIDV traded at 26,200 - 26,448 VND/USD, slightly down 5 VND in buying price but up 3 VND in selling price.

Eximbank listed 26,180 - 26,448 VND/USD, up 10 VND for buying and 3 VND for selling.

Sacombank kept the buying price unchanged at 26,190 VND/USD, while the selling price increased by 3 VND to 26,448 VND/USD.

In the international market, the USD extended its rise to four consecutive sessions. The Dollar Index, which measures the strength of the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, increased 0.15% to 97.79 points.

Pepper price today September 23, 2025: Continuously moving sideways

Pepper prices today in key growing areas remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 147,000 VND/kg to 150,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Lam Dong (old Dak Nong) is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 149,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 149,000 VND/kg.

In addition, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on September 23 (local time) as follows:

Indonesia's Lampung black pepper price decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 7,027/ton (down 0.48%). In addition, Muntok white pepper price decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 9,957/ton (down 0.49%).

Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,600/mt.

Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,900/ton.

Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.

In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.

Coffee price today September 23, 2025: Slight increase again

Domestic coffee prices today, September 23, 2025, in the Central Highlands region increased slightly compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 111,500 - 112,200 VND/kg.

Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 112,200 VND/kg, a slight increase of 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 112,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by VND600/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND111,800/kg.

In Lam Dong province, coffee prices increased by 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are at 111,500 VND/kg.

On the London Stock Exchange, the online price of Robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 delivery reached 4,268 USD/ton, up 3.22% (133 USD/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for January 2026 delivery decreased 2.76% (113 USD/ton) to 4,202 USD/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 0.22% (0.85 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 365.65 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 increased by 0.01% (0.05 US cents/pound) to 346.3 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in September 2025 decreased by 0.76% (3.55 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 458.35 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 4.86% (22.4 US cents/pound) to 437.2 US cents/pound.

Oil price today September 23, 2025: Decreased as Iraq increased oil exports

Brent crude fell 55 cents, or 0.8 percent, to $66.13 a barrel on September 23. Since early August, Brent has fluctuated between $65.50 and $69 a barrel.

Meanwhile, the US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude contract for October 2025 fell 67 cents, or 1%, to $62.01 a barrel.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 18. Specifically as follows:

- E5 RON92 gasoline price increased by 230 VND, to a maximum of 19,986 VND/liter.

- RON95 gasoline price increased by 208 VND, reaching 20,608 VND/liter.

- E10 RON 95-III gasoline price increased sharply by 560 VND, reaching 20,600 VND/liter.

- Diesel oil increased by 62 VND to 18,705 VND/liter.

- Kerosene price increased by 176 VND to 18,544 VND/liter.

- Fuel oil price increased by 40 VND, to 15,130 VND/kg.

During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund.

Rubber price today September 23, 2025: Sharp decrease in China and Japan

In Singapore, the price of rubber futures for October 2025 increased by 0.94% (1.6 USD/ton) compared to yesterday, down to 171.9 USD/ton. The contract for November 2025 decreased by 0.22% (0.4 USD/ton) to 173.9 USD/ton.

At the opening session on September 23, in China, the October 2025 rubber futures price on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) fell 0.46% (70 yuan) to 14,670 yuan/ton. The November 2025 rubber futures price fell 0.35% (55 yuan) to 14,645 yuan/ton.

At the time of the survey, the RSS3 price at TOCOM (Tokyo) for October 2025 delivery decreased by 0.55% (1.8 Yen/kg) compared to yesterday, to 320.1 Yen/kg. The November 2025 futures contract decreased by 2.35% (7.5 Yen/kg), reaching 310 Yen/kg.

Cocoa price today September 23, 2025: Sharp decrease across the board

At the time of the survey, the price of London cocoa for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 2.64% (134 GBP/ton) compared to yesterday, to 4921 GBP/ton. The contract for delivery in March 2026 decreased by 1.97% (100 GBP/ton) to 4958 GBP/ton.
