USD exchange rate on September 27, 2025: Slight increase
On the morning of September 27, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announced the central exchange rate at 25,194 VND/USD, an increase of 3 VND compared to yesterday.
With a permitted trading band of ±5%, commercial banks can list exchange rates in the range of 23,934 to 26,454 VND/USD.
In contrast to the central exchange rate, the USD buying price at most banks this morning turned down. The common decrease was from 6 to 25 VND. Notably, Sacombank was the only bank to increase the buying price by 10 VND. Currently, the USD buying price is fluctuating around 26,183 - 26,221 VND/USD.
On the selling side, most banks adjusted the selling price up slightly by 3 VND, bringing the selling price to 26,453 VND/USD.

In the international market, the US dollar also showed strength. The US dollar index (DXY) measuring the greenback against a basket of major currencies recovered to 98.44 points.
The main reason comes from positive US economic data: GDP in the second quarter of 2024 was revised up to 3.8%, higher than the initial forecast. This data reinforces expectations that the Fed can maintain high interest rates.
Pepper price today September 27, 2025: Indonesia continues to decrease
Pepper prices today, September 26, remain the same as yesterday in all major growing regions. The common domestic purchase price currently ranges from 148,000 to 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper prices are listed specifically as follows: Dak Lak province at 150,000 VND/kg, Gia Lai province at 148,000 VND/kg and Lam Dong province at 149,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dong Nai both reached 150,000 VND/kg, while in Binh Phuoc the price was 148,000 VND/kg.

In the international market, pepper prices from major producing countries also did not record any changes. According to the update from the International Pepper Community (IPC), the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper decreased by 0.13% to 6,945 USD/ton and the price of Muntok white pepper decreased by 0.13% to 9,841 USD/ton.
Malaysia has ASTA black pepper price at USD 9,700/ton, Brazil is at USD 6,500/ton and ASTa white pepper price at USD 12,900/ton.
Regarding exports, Vietnam's black pepper prices have two main levels: the standard grade of 500 gr/l is traded at 6,600 USD/ton and the high-quality grade of 550 gr/l is priced at 6,800 USD/ton. For white pepper, the export price remains stable at 9,250 USD/ton.

Coffee price today September 27, 2025: Slight decrease in domestic price
Domestic coffee prices today, September 27, 2025, in the Central Highlands region decreased from 1,000 to 1,600 VND/kg compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 112,200 - 113,000 VND/kg.
Lam Dong province currently has the lowest price, from 112,200 - 113,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 - 1,500 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak, the transaction price is 113,000 VND/kg, down 1,500 VND/kg.
In Gia Lai, the price is 112,600 VND/kg, down 1,600 VND/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 delivery reached 4,192 USD/ton, up 2.39% (98 USD/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for January 2026 delivery increased 2.11% (86 USD/ton) to 4,168 USD/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 2.1% (7.8 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 379.15 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 increased by 2.38% (8.35 US cents/pound), to 359.8 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 1.81% (8 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 450.9 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 increased by 1.92% (8.4 US cents/pound) to 446.5 US cents/pound.

Rubber price today September 27, 2025: Sharp drop in Tokyo
In Singapore, the price of rubber futures for October 2025 increased by 0.35% (0.6 USD/ton) compared to yesterday, down to 173.7 USD/ton. The contract for November 2025 decreased by 0.91% (1.6 USD/ton) to 172.7 USD/ton.

At the opening session on September 27, in China, the October 2025 rubber futures price on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) fell 0.4% (60 yuan) to 14,680 yuan/ton. The November 2025 rubber futures price fell 0.06% (10 yuan) to 14,705 yuan/ton.

At the time of the survey, the RSS3 price at the TOCOM Commodity Exchange (Tokyo) for November 2025 delivery decreased by 3.23% (10.3 Yen/kg) compared to yesterday, to 307.2 Yen/kg. The December 2025 futures contract decreased by 3.08% (9.8 Yen/kg), reaching 307.5 Yen/kg.

Cocoa price today September 27, 2025: Sharp decrease across the board
As of 6:00 a.m. on September 27, 2025, the price of cocoa traded on the New York Stock Exchange for December 2025 delivery decreased by 7% (521 USD/ton) compared to yesterday, down to 6,910 USD/ton. The contract for March 2026 delivery decreased by 5.28% (387 USD/ton), reaching 6,395 USD/ton.

At the time of the survey, the price of London cocoa for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 0.54% (27 GBP/ton) compared to yesterday, to 4841 GBP/ton. The contract for delivery in March 2026 decreased by 0.52% (26 GBP/ton) to 4862 GBP/ton.

Oil price today September 27, 2025: Strongest weekly increase in three months
Brent crude rose 23 cents to $69.65 a barrel on September 27, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose 33 cents to $65.31 a barrel. Both benchmarks are on track for their biggest weekly gains since mid-June.
World oil prices rose more than 4% last week as Russia restricted fuel exports and tensions in Ukraine continued to escalate.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 25. Specifically as follows:
- E5 RON92 gasoline price decreased by 370 VND/liter to 19,610 VND/liter.
- RON 95-III gasoline price decreased by 440 VND/liter, to 20,160 VND/liter.
- Diesel oil slightly decreased by 50 VND/liter, to 18,650 VND/liter.
- Kerosene price increased by 80 VND/liter to 18,620 VND/liter.
- Fuel oil price increased by 70 VND/kg, up to 15,200 VND/kg.
During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund.
