The Government assigned Nghe An to stabilize 94,000 hectares of rice-growing land.

Nghe An: Proposal to change the purpose of use of 242 hectares of rice and forest land

(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Nghe An province has submitted to the Provincial People's Council a Resolution allowing the conversion of the purpose of use of 242.39 hectares of rice-growing land, protective forest land, and forest land to carry out works and investment projects in the area.
Nghe An will convert over 5,000 hectares of ineffective rice-growing land.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 14, under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session to listen to and give opinions on the Planning for converting crop structure on rice-growing land in Nghe An province for the period 2015 - 2020; Planning for developing citrus fruit trees in Nghe An province to 2020, with a vision to 2030.

However, walking along many fields in districts such as Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Thanh Chuong, Vinh City... it is easy to see that many rice fields are still bare of stubble, not planted by people.
