People need to understand the electricity price list to avoid being shocked by their monthly electricity bill.

At the end of May 2025, the Government issued Decision 14 regulating the structure of retail electricity prices, bringing about important changes in the way household electricity bills are calculated.

New household electricity price: Electricity bill from 1.4 million VND, price increased by 3,700 VND/kWh

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed to reform the retail electricity price structure to 5 levels instead of 6 levels. The highest electricity price level could be up to more than 3,700 VND/kWh, higher than the highest level in the current price list (3,302 VND/kWh).
New points in calculating electricity prices for tenants

(Baonghean.vn) - Students and workers renting houses are entitled to apply the method of calculating electricity bills according to the provisions of Circular No. 9/2023/TT-BCT. The method of calculating electricity prices is based on the information of residence at the rental location.
