piglet price
Updated news related to piglet prices
Pig breeding prices increase, farmers in Nghe An highlands change livestock farming
The price of piglets in Nghe An is increasing day by day. At this time, 20-30 day old piglets are being bought by traders for millions of dong each. Therefore, people in the highland districts are gradually shifting from raising pigs for meat to raising piglets.
Economy
Nghe An: People are afraid to restore pig herds after Tet
(Baonghean.vn)- Pig prices are low while feed prices are high, causing farmers to suffer losses. Therefore, after selling pigs for meat, January has ended but many farms, ranches, and small-scale households have not yet started another batch of pigs. Therefore, piglets are also difficult to sell even though prices have dropped sharply...
Nghe An: Pig prices hit rock bottom, farmers hesitate to restock
(Baonghean.vn) - For about a week now, the price of live pigs has dropped sharply, in Nghe An down to 55,000 - 62,000 VND/kg. The rock bottom price of pigs has caused farmers to suffer losses, and many households do not dare to re-raise their herds.
Nghe An: Pork prices in farms and markets tend to decrease sharply, but in supermarkets they remain high.
(Baonghean.vn) - The price of breeding pigs and pork in Nghe An is gradually decreasing. A survey at the markets showed that on August 17, the price of live pigs decreased by 6,000 to 10,000 VND/kg.
Difficult to restore herd, black pigs in Western Nghe An have an unprecedented high price
(Baonghean.vn) - Black pigs being raised in the mountainous districts of Nghe An are currently priced from 130,000 - 170,000 VND/kg. Notably, people want to restore their black pig herds after the African swine fever epidemic but are short of piglets.
Pig breeding costs 2-3 times more, making it difficult for farmers in Nghe An to restore their herds.
(Baonghean.vn) - Up to now, herd restoration is being promoted in Nghe An after African swine fever has been controlled. However, because the price of piglets is 2-3 times more expensive than before the epidemic and is still scarce, farmers are facing many difficulties.
