Reservoir water runs out, Nghe An farmers install field pumps to save rice

The continuous heat of the past few days has caused many reservoirs in Nghe An to run out of water, forcing farmers to use field pumps to save their rice.
More than 100 reservoirs in Nghe An are only at less than 50% capacity, at risk of water shortage.

(Baonghean.vn) - At this time, Nghe An has 126/1,061 reservoirs that only reach 50% of their capacity, the risk of water shortage in the spring crop is present. Therefore, from now on, localities are implementing economical reservoir operations to ensure water sources for spring rice irrigation and to save for the summer-autumn crop.
