Episode 22 opens with many disturbances when Ngan unexpectedly chooses to avoid him, even though she has just been moved by Truong's gallantry. Reason tells her that a "perfect man" like Truong either does not exist, or if he does, he will hardly belong to her. Ngan would rather end it early to avoid a deeper pain later, but that decision pushes the budding relationship into an unfinished, regretful state.

In another development, Lam is still angry with Toan. The distance has grown, to the point that Lam no longer wants to interfere in any of her husband's private matters. However, letting another man answer Toan's phone puts Lam in a difficult situation. Is that the outcome she wanted, a rift to the point where there is nothing left to hold on to?

The overlapping conflicts, complex emotions and difficult choices of the characters in episode 22 promise to keep the audience watching in suspense, waiting to see which turn will change their fate.
