In episode 49, after the stroke, Mr. Thu began to face the harsh reality: he was like a "fish on the chopping board", waiting for the police to come and take him away. Amid the storm, the couple's affection became more evident, showing their closeness and sharing after many power storms.

Meanwhile, Van, who was trying to stabilize her life after the shock of losing her husband, accidentally met Na, Hong Phat's niece, when she went to buy medicine for her mother. Unexpectedly, the "livestream warrior" Na made insulting and sarcastic comments about Van as the person who "helped her husband take over the pig farm". The public insult left Van speechless in public, once again having to face harsh public opinion and unhealed emotional wounds.

Episode 49 promises many contrasting emotions when on one side is the calm acceptance of a once powerful man, and on the other side is the silent pain of a woman still trying to keep her faith and honor amidst the storms of life.
