Cozy housewarming ceremony in Nhon Mai flood center (Nghe An)
On the afternoon of September 16, two families whose houses were destroyed by flash floods in the border communes of Nhon Mai (Nghe An) held a special housewarming ceremony. Local authorities and armed forces attended, presented gifts, and handed over houses to the residents.

This evening (July 22), due to prolonged heavy rain, rising water levels of the Nam Mo River and the release of floodwaters from hydroelectric plants, many areas in Muong Xen Commune (former Ky Son District) and along National Highway 7 were severely flooded. The water rose so quickly that people had to evacuate urgently at night, many households were unable to save their property.
In 7 villages in the border commune of My Ly (Nghe An), nearly 20 stilt houses were flooded up to the roof, people fled the flood in heavy rain.
