Timely rescue of 5 fishermen trapped in flood on Lam River

On the afternoon of August 25, immediately after receiving urgent information about 5 fishermen trapped in the middle of Lam River due to rising flood waters, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Lam Thanh Commune and the Commune Military Command quickly arrived at the scene to deploy a rescue plan.

Volunteers used rubber boats to rescue many people from flooded areas to safety.

In a short time, the Lam River water rose, causing flooding in 19/36 villages of Con Cuong commune. Due to the rapid rise in water, people were trapped in the floodwaters. A volunteer team used a motorized rubber boat, coordinating with local authorities to support and evacuate people to safety.
Floods surrounded and isolated Con Cuong commune, many households were flooded and lost all their property.

The rising water level of Lam River has caused 19/36 villages in Con Cuong commune to be flooded from 1-3m. 360 households were deeply flooded, many of whom lost all their property.
