The 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council passed 6 important resolutions at the 30th Session; Activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) in Nghe An... are the highlights of the day.

87 cities officially no longer exist as of July 1

According to the Law on Local Government recently passed by the National Assembly, from July 1, local government will have 2 levels (province and commune), no longer district level as before. Of the 696 district-level administrative units ending their operations, 87 are cities.
Implement tasks on promoting decentralization and delegation of authority as prescribed in the Law on Organization of Government and Local Government.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 608/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister promulgating the Plan to implement tasks and solutions to promote decentralization and delegation of power according to the provisions of the Law on Organization of the Government and the Law on Organization of Local Government.
