Prisoners will be able to participate in voluntary social insurance from January 1, 2020.

The 2019 Law on Enforcement of Criminal Judgments allows people sentenced to prison to enjoy social insurance policies and regimes.

The National Assembly does not agree to allow prisoners to work outside prison.

Less than 50% of delegates agreed with the Regulation on organizing labor for prisoners outside prison, stipulated in the Draft Law on Criminal Enforcement (amended).
