According to Circular 80/2012/TT-BTC recently issued by the Ministry of Finance, organizations, households, individuals engaged in production and business activities; individuals with income subject to personal income tax (PIT); foreign organizations without Vietnamese legal status, foreign individuals practicing independently; project management boards, public service units, organizations, individuals receiving tax refunds or receiving aid goods from abroad are granted a single tax code (MST) to use throughout the operation (except for contractor MST).
