Ben Thuy junction is located on the left bank of Lam River, at the foot of Quyet mountain, about 5 km southeast of Vinh city center, the meeting place of protesters and factory workers in Ben Thuy on May 1, 1930, opening the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement.

On these historic September autumn days, when I revisited the Ben Thuy junction, I was suddenly deeply moved by the majestic and solemn Workers - Farmers - Soldiers monument. Mixed with the sound of the wind blowing from Lam River and Quyet Mountain, it sounded like the echo of the undulating sea of protesters chanting slogans demanding higher wages, shorter working hours, and land for farmers in the past... Here, on these days 82 years ago, the blood of the workers and farmers of Nghe An dyed red the entire Ben Thuy street.
