The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued Decision 863/QD-BNV on promulgating newly issued and abolished administrative procedures in the field of social insurance under the state management of the Ministry of Home Affairs. In which, there are instructions on procedures for receiving sick leave benefits when participating in social insurance.
From July 1, 2025, part-time workers are entitled to sick leave.

According to Clause 1, Article 2 of the Law on Social Insurance 2024, from July 1, 2025, part-time employees, as long as they meet the conditions on contract and salary, will enjoy full benefits of compulsory social insurance, including sick leave.
