The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Tan Ky District, 2024
The Congress of ethnic minorities in Tan Ky district elected a delegation of 12 delegates to attend the Congress of higher levels and approved the Resolution of the Congress.
On the morning of June 18, the People's Committee of Tan Ky district organized the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in the district in 2024 with the theme "Ethnic groups unite, innovate, promote advantages, potentials, integrate and develop sustainably".
Attending the congress were representatives of the provincial Ethnic Committee, the provincial Farmers' Association, leaders of Tan Ky district, and 144 outstanding delegates representing ethnic minorities in the entire district.
Tan Ky DistrictThere are more than 150 thousand people, including 3 main ethnic groups Kinh, Thai, Tho living together in 11 communes and towns, ethnic minorities 32,288 people, accounting for 21.5%. Of which, Thai ethnic group has 12,992 people, Tho ethnic group has 18,705 people and other ethnic groups have 591 people.
In the period of 2019 - 2020, Tan Ky district invested a total capital of 7 billion VND to implement 14 works and projects in the fields of transportation, culture, health, education, irrigation... maintaining and repairing 12 works, with a total investment capital of 1 billion 500 million VND. Implementing a program to support production development and diversify livelihoods in 12 communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, targeting poor and near-poor households, with a total budget of 14 billion 350 million VND.
In particular, in the past time, Tan Ky district has mobilized and integrated more than 155 billion 071 million VND to implementNational Target Programsocio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Including support for the construction of 4 domestic water works, 13 traffic works, 3 flood bridges, 7 community cultural houses, 1 rural market, 1 community tourism site...
The whole district has 312 turns.person of prestigerecognized. Cultural and artistic movements are maintained, and the cultural identity of ethnic minorities is gradually promoted. 8/12 communes in ethnic minority areas have met new rural standards, the highest rate compared to other districts; the whole district has 24 agricultural products meeting 3-star OCOP standards.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Bui Thanh Bao - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council requested the Party Committees, authorities, sectors, political and social organizations in the whole district to continue promoting dynamism and creativity, on the basis of the potentials and advantages of the district, focusing efforts on implementing national target programs, especially the National Target Program on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Promote emulation to comprehensively develop cultural and social fields, promote traditional cultural values of ethnic groups. Continue to build and promote the role of prestigious people and core forces of ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
In addition, continue to innovate the content and methods of implementing and carrying out ethnic work in accordance with the requirements and tasks in the new situation; further promote the strength of great solidarity among ethnic groups, promote patriotic emulation movements in ethnic minority areas and among all classes of people.
The Congress elected a delegation of 12 delegates to attend the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Nghe An Province and approved the Resolution of the Congress.
On this occasion, the Provincial Ethnic Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 individuals, Tan Ky District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 7 individuals with outstanding achievements, typically ethnic minorities with many contributions to ethnic work and ethnic policies in the period 2019 - 2024.
