Nghe An: Highlights of October 31st
Today (October 31), continuing the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, delegates discussed in groups and gave opinions on the draft Resolution on the organization of urban government in Hai Phong City and the establishment of Hue City directly under the Central Government; In Nghe An, at the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman Nguyen Duc Trung requested strict implementation of the principle of unlocking all resources for development.
* On the morning of October 31st,The National Assembly conducts discussions in groups.Regarding the draft Resolution on the organization of urban government in Hai Phong City and the establishment of Hue City as a centrally-administered city.
During the discussion, the National Assembly deputies from Nghe An province unanimously agreed with the establishment of Hue City as a centrally-governed city based on the entire natural area and population of Thua Thien Hue province.
* On the morning of October 31st, the Veterans Association of Nghe An province organized...National Emulation Congress "Exemplary Veterans"7th time, period 2019 - 2024.
The congress elected 14 delegates to attend the 7th National Congress of Patriotic Emulation of "Exemplary Veterans".
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association awarded a commendation flag to the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association; and presented certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 1 individual veteran from Nghe An for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" during the period 2019-2024.
* On the afternoon of October 31st,Central Committee delegationA delegation led by Comrade Trieu Tai Vinh, Deputy Head of the Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, conducted a preliminary review of the 5-year implementation of Conclusion No. 65-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW of the Central Committee of the Party (9th term) on ethnic affairs in the new situation in the province.
During the working session, members of the survey team and representatives from departments and agencies of Nghe An province contributed many ideas and suggested practical solutions for Nghe An province to continue focusing on leading, directing, and effectively implementing ethnic policies and mass mobilization work in ethnic minority areas.
* At the October meeting of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee listened to and commented on the report on the socio-economic situation in October and the first 10 months of the year; and the key tasks and solutions for the last two months of 2024.
Highlighting key tasks for the last two months of 2024,Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requestedAll departments and agencies must work together with the utmost determination and effort to achieve the set goals, targets, and tasks, at least meeting the targets assigned by the Provincial People's Council.
October 31stThe Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a working session with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments.to implement the thematic monitoring program "Prevention and control of crimes related to 'loan sharking' activities and crimes using high technology to defraud and misappropriate assets".
Based on observations from local monitoring sessions, representatives of the Provincial People's Council's monitoring team made suggestions for relevant agencies to clarify issues such as: the work of gathering information and managing the activities of informal lending groups and associations to detect cases of distortion and usurious lending; the work of monitoring and preventing cases of capital mobilization with unusually high interest rates; and the practical mechanisms for providing and exchanging information at the provincial and district levels.
*On the morning of October 31st (corresponding to the 29th day of the 9th lunar month), at the Phan Boi Chau Memorial Area in Nam Dan town, Nam Dan district, the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports organized an event.Offering flowers and incense on the 84th anniversary of the death of the patriotic scholar Phan Bội Châu..
Throughout his life, Phan Boi Chau dedicated himself entirely to the national liberation movement, serving as a shining example of patriotism and unwavering loyalty to his country, as affirmed by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh: "He was a hero, a messenger, a selfless figure who sacrificed himself for national independence, revered by 20 million people under slavery."
*The "Sharing with Teachers" programThis is a meaningful activity to honor outstanding individuals in the field of education. This year, 60 outstanding individuals from across the country were selected, including teacher Ha Canh Dinh – a teacher and Head of the Youth Union at Hoan Lam Secondary School, Chau Hoan commune, Quy Chau district, Nghe An province.
