Nghe An: Highlights on October 31

* Morning of October 31,The National Assembly conducts discussions in groups.on the draft Resolution on the organization of urban government in Hai Phong City and the establishment of Hue City under the Central Government.

At the discussion session, the National Assembly deputies of Nghe An delegation highly agreed on the establishment of Hue city under the Central Government on the basis of the entire natural area and population size of Thua Thien Hue province.

* On the morning of October 31, Nghe An Province Veterans Association organizedPatriotic emulation congress "Exemplary veterans"7th time, period 2019 - 2024.

The congress elected 14 delegates to attend the 7th National "Exemplary Veterans" Patriotic Emulation Congress.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association awarded the emulation flag to the Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association; awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 1 individual veteran of Nghe An with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" for the period 2019 - 2024.

* Afternoon of October 31,Central working delegationThe delegation, led by Comrade Trieu Tai Vinh - Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, surveyed and summarized 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 65-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (9th tenure) on ethnic work in the new situation in the province.

At the working session, members of the survey team and representatives of departments, branches and sectors of Nghe An province contributed many ideas and suggested practical solutions for Nghe An province to continue to focus on leadership, direction and effective implementation of ethnic policies and mass mobilization work in ethnic minority areas.

* At the October meeting of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee listened to and commented on the report on the socio-economic situation in October and the first 10 months of the year; key tasks and solutions for the last 2 months of 2024.

Emphasizing key tasks for the last two months of 2024,Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requestedDepartments and branches must together be determined and make the highest efforts to implement the set goals, targets and tasks, at least achieving the targets assigned by the Provincial People's Council.

* October 31,The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council had a working session with the Provincial People's Committee and relevant sectors.to implement the thematic monitoring program "Prevention and control of crimes related to "black credit" activities, crimes using high technology to defraud and appropriate property".

Based on the reality from the local monitoring sessions, the representative of the Provincial People's Council's monitoring delegation made suggestions to the authorities to clarify such as: the work of capturing information, managing the activities of hui, ho, wards... to detect cases of transformation, usury; the work of grasping the situation and preventing cases of capital mobilization with unusually high interest rates; the practical mechanism of providing and exchanging information at the provincial and district levels...

*On the morning of October 31 (ie September 29th of the Lunar calendar), at Phan Boi Chau Memorial Site in Nam Dan town, Nam Dan district, Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports organizedOffering flowers and incense on the occasion of the 84th death anniversary of patriot Phan Boi Chau.

Phan Boi Chau devoted his entire life to the national liberation movement, was a shining example of patriotism, loyalty and steadfastness to the country and mountains, as affirmed by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh: He was "a hero, an angel, a person who sacrificed himself for national independence, revered by 20 million enslaved people".

*Program "Sharing with teachers"is a meaningful activity to honor shining examples in the education sector. This year, the whole country has 60 outstanding faces selected, including teacher Ha Canh Dinh - teacher, Team Leader of Hoan Lam Secondary School, Chau Hoan Commune, Quy Chau District, Nghe An Province.
