During my years as an interpreter for senior leaders of Vietnam, I received the close and caring attention and affection of General and President Le Duc Anh. I really appreciate his simplicity, rusticity, but also his decisiveness and altruism in work and life.

Flags will be flown at half-mast and entertainment activities will be suspended during the two days of National Mourning.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests that agencies and offices nationwide and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad fly flags at half-mast during the two-day State Funeral of General Le Duc Anh.
Flags are flown at half-mast everywhere on the day of the National Funeral of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

During the two days of the National Funeral for General Vo Nguyen Giap, agencies, offices and many households in Nghe An flew flags at half-mast. In some families and offices, the flags were not flown at half-mast according to the new regulations, but all expressed their respect, gratitude and sorrow for the passing of the great General, the legendary Elder Brother of the Vietnam People's Army.

The Organizing Committee of the General's State Funeral held its second meeting.

On the afternoon of October 10, under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister, member of the State Funeral Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the State Funeral of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the Organizing Committee of the State Funeral of General Vo Nguyen Giap held its second plenary session.
